Teasing down to -2 plus 2 other games. To much desperation for the Jets so they  could cover +9,but will lose by a field goal. Will play two other excellent games with this one for 500.Good luck investors!!

This is definitely going to be an interesting game to watch thats for sure.  As stated before, I'm on the team with the winning record....Texans.

Whats funny is, if the Jets win half the people on the forum are going to go  TOLD YA SO!

If the Texans win....half the people are going to go  TOLD YA SO!

Can't wait!

Who did the Jets beat?  Miami in overtime and the Bills in a weird game where they had a punt return td and a def td.

The two teams they lost to were SF and Pittsburgh.  Pittsburgh is not a very goo team and rocked them 27-10.  SF absolutely dominated them.

I'll take the team that has 3 blowouts against subpar competition and a quality win against denver.

It seemed like the Jets were having a much worse season but I guess they are 2-2 and if they win tonight will be tied with the pats for the division lead.  They also beat an underrated dolphins team on the road.  Their two losses are to elite teams. Steelers on the road and the 49ers.  Texans schedule has been soft thus far.  Rex will blitz the hell out of Don Flamenco (Matt Schaub) and he will go down as easy as he did in Mike Tyson's punch out.  I look for a Jets upset tonight.

I will take facts over speculations anytime in sport or reality. And the fact is the Texans has been proving that they are solid and should be ranked #1 right now.

(1) I'm no Jets fan.  Actually, I'm a Pats fan and the Jets are one of my least favorite teams (behind the Jints and Colts).  But when it comes to making money, I'll root for anybody.

( 2) Vegas doesn't base their line on stats.  They base their lines on public perceptin.  They just want to even out the cash on both sides.  Houston is percieved as a powerful team because they've run up scores on some weak teams.  But double digit lines are tough to cover in the NFL.  Especially on the road.  Especially on MNF.

Given the circumstances, smart money goes on the dog.

The last time I bet on the Texans as a 7.5 point road favorite they got beat by the 1 win colts with Dan Orlovsky at QB.

lol...Who let Jimmy the Greek on the forum. In case you haven't heard there is more to situational handicapping then just looking at the box score of the last game they played!!  Pay no attention to the fact that this Jets team just two weeks ago beat Miami on the road.  geez.

Jets are lucky to get playing at home 4 time in up coming 5 games:

San Francisco @ Jets
Houston @ Jets
Indianapolis @ Jets
NY Jets @ New Engalnd
Dolphins @ NY Jets

But they still got a hard time to sell those tickets.....!! My point is they will lose the tonight game again; and going on wins three games in the rolls.. against COLTS, PATRIOTS AND DOLPHINS!

I wouldn't say the BEST team in the NFL but very well articulated and I have nothing else to add so….  Put me down for Houston minus the chalk for a nickel Alex Trebek please.  Thanks!

i just don't know why Texan don't give away more point than 9 look at the Jets last week ?They were at home and didn't score a single point and the Texan D is way better than the 49er , i expect the Texan will blow out the jet , the pick  Texan plus the under , parlay two team and take that money to the bank

A couple of times each year a line is posted that just makes zero sense...this is one of those times.  I have already dropped major cash on the Jets ( +9.5 on Friday ) so I have no vested interest in what I'm about to say......

DON'T BE A FOOL AND GIVE IT AWAY !!!

I understand all the interest in the Houston Texans being 4-0 but have you really looked at their record.  The total combined record of the teams they have beat is 6-14.  I can give you hundreds of stats to sway your wager to NY but I'm only going to give one key stat...

The odds of a team going 5-0 and covering the spread on the road is 18%....think about it.....18 % !!!!

All my research points in the same direction...too much respect for Houston and very little for NY.  I know the Jets have had their issues but to cover +9.5 means everything must go right for Houston and bad for NY...can't see it happening.

Finally, as a person who does this for a living...this is my gift to you.  STOP listening to all the Houston hype.  The NY Jets are still a good football team even with a few injuries and Houston is playing over their heads...remember 6-14.

Monday night, everyone watching, Jets hungry...can't see Houston winning by 9+.  EZ pick boys, you can thank me in the morning

New York Jets +9

Sandman

Sandman23,

I don’t know where or how you were able to come up with that data (18% going 5 – 0 and covering 10 points), but I find it very compelling.  Based on both teams performances THIS season (last year or ten years ago have nothing to do with this game), you are absolutely correct this spread should be 13/14 points so it seems the Wise Men in Vegas are screaming for Houston dollars, however Sanchez is mentally weak
AND he has ZERO weapons on the perimeter which makes his offense completely one dimensional (Shonn Greene only).  In addition, the chemistry in the locker room was already in the toilet prior to bringing Timmy Tebow on board which has made it worse.

You might be absolutely right and the "fix" is in but I've never seen that type of behavior out of Matt Schaub, but no way in hell are the Jets going to win this matchup SU so you please stop all the Jets Moneyline madness talk.

With that said, I’m going to invest my capital on that 18% chance the stars align correctly.  Oh by the way, please "friend" me so I can e-mail you my mobile number because I’m very interested in taking all your action on the Jets Moneyline…  Please let me know ASAP because kickoff is in 3 hours…  I am looking forward to your friend request Sir…

Things that make ya go hmmmmmmmm, Everybody keeps talking about how Joe Q. Public is on Houston, yet in this forum all you see is a lot of people taking Jets because think something is up with Vegas. I don't post much but do read the posts week after week. I wil go back few weeks ago when New Eng n Tenn game. Think the line was 6 or 7 whatever and a lot of people were talking about how fishy the line looked and so on. New England smashed Tenn. Last night sure the line was looking fishy, but we all know in grudge games, throw out all factors. Grudge was factor last night and smart players cashed in on the over and left the sides alone. Not saying am a genius or that am some kind of super handicapper, just a guy trying to make few extra bucks a week, like most others. I like Houston tonight and haven't a real clue on the total, reason being is this. Will Jets score ? who really knows, Houston will we know that, but how many will they score ? I always hear and see a lot of threads with the ole adage DON;T OVER THINK lol ya know coulda woulda shoulda crap.Good Luck to all and just go with what ya thiink and know, and not with what ya hope is all I am saying.

Don't over-think this game. Houston is averaging more than 28 points a game and beating opponents by three TD's with the exception of Denver two weeks ago, and Houston beat them by 6 pts.
The Jets aren't bringing anything to the table in terms of offensive weapons. The Texans have every edge and angle covered to win this game. And unless the ref's decide this ne like they did last nights Chargers/Saints game (three bs flags at the end while the Charger's were threatening inside the Saint's 50 with two mins on the clock), this will be easy money.
Put me down for the chalk.

HOUSTON -10
