#26 Posted: 1/5/2012 6:34:53 PM I will take Houston since they already won on the last meeting and they were visiting! Doesn't make sense for me to take Cincy now that they come to visit...on the playoff game!!!

#28 Posted: 1/6/2012 11:45:50 AM I would like to see Cincy win, but don't see it happening. Houston is at home and Cincy has a rookie QB. I suspect more that forty points will be scored. |

In too many games, this season and last, games that they should have won-they simply didn't get it done. I label the Texans as a "choke team", based on my wagering experiences. After carefully checking all the stats and subjective scenarios, I can honestly say if there is going to be any possibility of an outright upset win-it's this game with the Bengals. One capper here, says that the Bengals don't belong in the playoffs. That might be true, but then again neither do the Giants or Broncos belong. I might add that if Manning hadn't been injured all season, the Texans would not even be in the playoffs. Come to think about it, both the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals made the playoffs from the same division! We all know how teams like the Titans, Colts, & Jaguars did this season. I for one am not using the "L" word to describe the Texans chances here. I'm betting lightly on the Texans, and doing a lot of praying! So my opinion is go lightly on this game. Again, the figures say Houston, but sometimes the reality of playing the game is quite different- just saying!
HOUSTON - 3
I will start by admitting I am a big Texans homer, but I keep hearing this stuff about Houston not making the playoffs if Manning had played and I just don't see how people still believe this.
Let's assume the Colts beat the Texans in Week 1 in Houston, which is something they didn't do in 2010 with Manning, but for sake of argument let's put the Texans at 9-7 instead of 10-6, with the Colts winning the division.
Houston, Cincy, and Tennessee would all be 9-7, but since Manning is a world beater, you have to assume he would sweep the Titans as well right? Dropping them to 8-8. Even if Tennessee stayed at 9-7 Houston has the tie-breakers. I will let Cincy keep their win over the Colts and their 9-7 record.
Houston gets in as the last wildcard, and Cincy stays home. People keep acting like Peyton Manning not playing catapulted the Texans into the playoffs, and it's simply false.
I think Vegas is begging you to take the points.
Texans 24-14. |

#33 Posted: 1/6/2012 10:31:38 PM Cincy is the perfect draw for this Texans team who is way overdue for the playoffs. Injuries will keep them from going much further but they can certainly beat this bengals team at home. Andre had a chance to not some rust off last week. Expect him to make some big plays. |

#36 Posted: 1/7/2012 1:14:22 AM This is playoff. This is serious business.
Texans have never been in the playoffs But, i would still pick them.
I wouldnt fade the Texans because i believe rookies like Dalton and AJ Green will be blown out.

Sorry but i don't agree with your post at all, especially with it being a "lock". For one thing this is the playoffs. All teams are 0-0. That being said, are you really that impressed with Houston with their 3rd string qb, who are averaging 17 points a game with TJ Yates, going against a Bengals team who have played a much tougher schedule than Houston and have a qb that has rookie of the year stats. I'm not saying Houston won't win, but it's definitely not a lock. I believe home field will give them a 3 point win

#44 Posted: 1/7/2012 10:47:49 AM Home field should be an advantage, salty d, solid running game, #80 back spreads bungal d, really good kicking, punting, return teams spells Texans.
Key is going to be turnovers. Bungals will need points off turnovers otherwise I'm thinking Texans cover the 4.
Also, liking the favorites Saints at home have covered the line all year why not now? Hopefully the lions will come out and throw some punches and get kicked out early.
Falcons suck.
Don't know what to do about Tebow. He won't quit for sure maybe a back door cover?

#48 Posted: 1/7/2012 12:07:29 PM One last thought before you place your wager..........
Baltimore Twice
Pittsburgh Twice
Houston
San Francisco
Denver
and Detroit in the pre-season..................
That make the Bungles 0-8 versus playoff teams this season..........
...........and soon to be 0-9
Good Luck Everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
