#2 Posted: 12/20/2011 4:55:56 PM Im going with the Home Team in this one. Its December and the Lions are playing for something! Enough Said! No, seriously I think its time to hop off the Charger train after a couple weeks of covering. They were my top play last week over Ravens. I think it will be similar to the road trip Chargers took to NY a few weeks back and lost 27-21 I think. Stafford and Megatron - I trust more. Lions also know that they are going to Lambeau field following week so they need to get this one. |

#3 Posted: 12/21/2011 6:16:52 AM detroit has never beaten san diego in previous 4 meetings. and yes, detroit is coming off a big loss to thr raiders and the chargers are coming off a big win.the "easy" bet would be betting on detroit at home seems like a safe bet but lets not fall for "vegas" dirty tricks."vegas" doesnt have a heart.they are not going to let the lions win just because he feels sorry for them. it's getting too close to the end of the season. My pick is the chargers on this one."eat 'em while they're HOT" who wants cold fried chicken?

#4 Posted: 12/21/2011 9:35:50 AM emchu, I disagree that the "easy bet" is on the Lions as you will see a majority of the action come in on the Chargers. They blasted Ravens on primetime. Of course they are going to get the action.....but watch the line stay where it is or even go opposite. Lions have not been in this position since I believe Wayne Fontes was coach. The place will be rockin and they have the Packers on deck next week at Lambeau. Better spot to back Lions here then Chargers IMO. |

#5 Posted: 12/21/2011 9:45:47 AM SD is 2-5-1 last 8 on the road ATS. I think most have the recent memory of SD blasting Jags on Monday night and Ravens last Sunday night. I think most people still have recent memory of Lions losing to GB on Thanksgiving and Saints the following week. Again, better spot for the Lions backers here. |

#9 Posted: 12/21/2011 8:22:10 PM Man, SD matches up so well against this team - and with Fairley "Questionable" and the line at +1.5 for the Chargers - I'm getting in on that before the Lions are the underdogs...........
Remember - Detroit is a dome, it's December, it's Rivers with all the offensive weapons healthy, and the Chargers are still in the hunt..........
Good luck everybody................... |

#11 Posted: 12/22/2011 5:54:07 PM Welcome sports fans, to week 16's Bolts Breakdown!
In short, Chargers win by 13.
The long story is the Chargers are finally healthy and have a glimmer of reaching the playoffs. It's "any given Sunday" time and that's exactly what Rivers thrives on. So what about the Lions, don't they have any say in this? In a word, no. They may have held up and squeaked out a last second win, against the Chargers of a few weeks ago, but not now.
The only thing that gives me pause for thought, is the Chargers are a little iffy in domes and on fake turf. So the score may be closer.

#18 Posted: 12/24/2011 1:49:57 AM I'm betting on RIvers in December....
I'll probably wait until kickoff.....
I actually have 3 bets for this game...
First, SD getting a point..... Def going to call it in right before the game... If Jackson doesn't play the line might move in my favor, but I like the Chargers even if he doesn't play.... they've scored in the mid 30s the last 3 and just seem to be rolling.... Detroit is good but if they get down it'll be tough to come back.....
Second, I have SD teased with KC and SEA... taking 2 home dawgs at +9.5 and 13 respectively, and 1 road dog at 11 points.....
Third..... I'm taking the SD team over whatever it is.....
GL TO ALL! |

#19 Posted: 12/24/2011 4:16:30 AM Vegas couldn't handicap this game high enough!!!!!!!!!OVER could hit in the 1st half with these 2. I like the bolts in this. Detroit can loose this and still back themselves into the playoffs. I also can see them getting a gritty win in week 17 against the Packers. Both teams are on fire, and it should be a great Christmas eve " barn burning nail biter" for us all to enjoy!!!! 41- 40 Chargers. Vegas knows the deal, and this is the trap game IMO. Chargers should be favored after ripping the Ravens a new one! This just might somehow go to over-time. and be the game to remember when the Chargers made their run and finally get a championship. The more I ink about it. The more I'm liking a Chargers vs. Saint's Superbowl. Haha. Ya-heard-it-hear-1st. |

#22 Posted: 12/24/2011 5:23:03 AM at first glance you would think detriot is the right play..but man Rivers is hot at the moment and that reformed o-line really has improved. detriots secondary in no way matches up with san diegos recievers , expect to see alot of yards

I respectfully
disagree with your assessment Sir. As I sated last week before I cashed
with San Diego when the vaunted Baltimore
Ravens defense rolled into town, Phillip Rivers looks like a NEW man with Malcom Floyd back
in the lineup. As my man Irisheyez would say, “This is BIG BOY football time of the year”
and Detroit is a year away from being
considered a BIG BOY. San Diego wins out the remaining of
their schedule and just misses the playoffs.
With that said, put me down for the San Diego Superchargers on the moneyline
(+105) please. Thanks!
