Bottom line is you don't know what you're going to get out of a backup QB, but it's still a pro team. The public over-reacts to starting QBs going down, and the line is driven up. I tend to stay away from games with variables such as these that suck value out of the game, but with a gun to my head I'll take the points vs a bad defense.

Well said.  It's a team effort.  Chiefs are not a -16.5 point BAD.

VINCE YOUNG - Last night was a prime example..

i dont know man this is a tough game to try and predict, hoping kc plays like they did against miami, and that was w\cassel. they did meagerly better against denver and couldnt really hold Tebow off. KC's only real hope outside of a miracle qb to walk on and montannas retired so they realy have to focus on the run where they rank 10th and NE ranks 10th against stopping the rush.

now pats their D has been stepping up lately and hope they play them a bit more solidly as the held the jets to 16pts, thinking kc if they are realy lucky gets 14 high end.

who knows if I only had tomorrows news paper today, I would know for certain. my 2bits= pats -17 watch the clock grind and under

meant to say KC ranks 8th with the rush & Patriots rank 10 stopping the run.

KC is a solid team with or without Cassel.  The public loves NE but they have a horrible defense.  I can't see NE putting up huge points on KC and not allowing many with their crapy defense.

NE wins but 17 is just crazy...actually stupid.  Vegas will win big tonight !!!!

EZZZZ win again tonight for the serious bettor.

KC + 17....EZ !

This will be similar to a few week ago when Miami visit KC.

If KC lost 28 pts at home, then NE will cover 18 pts against this team on thier own turf. It depend on the call and the coach, We see GB cover 14 pts then lost it, so was the Cowbillies with a 10 pts lead. This is Belichick team, he obviously going to run up the scores.

Yesterday, Vince did played well, pure 2nd string even he started for Tenesee sometime ago. NYG did not show up, they drop the ball over and over again. Both defense played well, De and Le show up and win the game for the Eagles. Vince is no where good enough to steal anyone job anytime soon. Else he would still be in Tenesee.

That's a great point, but I was talking more in terms of a backup coming in and everyone suddenly thinking the game is going to be a blowout, which could still be the case here, but who knows.

Last night you predicted an EZZZZZZ blowout by the Giants, the way you speak with such conviction you must be a bookie or something trying to get your clients to bet the other side!

These are not the Patriots of 2008.  They should not be getting these ridiculous inflated college football lines.

Last night Jake Locker took over for Matt Hasselbeck in the 2nd half, put some life into the Titans offense with 2 TDs, and came out with my backdoor cover.  This was his first start, he's on the road, and he had to do it in a come from behind situation.

Plus I also like the fact that McCourty, Spikes, and Chung is out for the Patriots.

Uhhh... big difference between vince young, and tyler palko.   Young has been a nfl starting qb.  Palko has been cut by 4 nfl teams, a ufl team, and a cfl teams..  it your business if you want to put you money on a qb like that..  but personally i won't.  It either NE or no play for me.
Also, careful with the over here base on history.  Romeo Crenel, the kc def coordinator, has a history of playing against brady.  he  likes to make NE dink and donk down the field, in a bend but don't break style.  And if NE gets up big, look for them to milk the clock before getting the play off.   Just base on these facts, Bad QB in kc, a def coordinator win a history of playing NE in a certain way.  Think the UNDER is the way to go here...

SIXTEEN!?!?!

Has any team been favored by this much against anybody this season? I know Green Bay hasn't and seems to me they're undefeated, not 6-3 with THE ABSOLUTE, BY FAR, NOT EVEN CLOSE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED WORST DEFENSE IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE!

Also, the Over/Under at just 46.5 - - Vegas is planting a 38-3, 40-0 Patriots win scenario in your head. You're being brainwashed and you don't even know it.

So, you're putting that much validity in the "awesomeness" of Matt Cassel that if he's out, the Chiefs are absoluteley lost and done? Who is he, Peyton Manning? You really think this team revolves 100% around Matt Friggin' Cassel??? This is an entire league of professional atheletes, and it's always "next man up" (i.e. Tebow, and also, Matt Cassel on the Pats when Brady went down a few years ago)

I'll take the 16 points all day, any day, on any team, against anybody, in any era, with any coach (living or deceased), in any stadium (standing or demolished)

Now, the over/under is a different story - I'll probably tease some points down, and take the over - because if you're taking the Chiefs, you're taking the over...........

Good Luck Everybody!!!!!!!!!

Vegas is begging for your money on the Chiefs, and you're just complying like willing pawns. Granted, the Pats play terrible D, but KC is terrible PERIOD! According to my figures, New England COULD conservatively put up between 21 to 24 points on the Chiefs! As always, I really depends whether Bellichick and his team , are motivated to run the score up. With only a game and a half lead over Buffalo and the Jets, playing in Foxboro, and under the lights on Monday Night Football, I think Bill will have them motivated!
