Tampa Bay - 29                                        Detroit - 21

Buccaneers                                   looks like an over

Lions still not there yet. Winning on the road, game one might be asking a lot.

I agree that asking the Lions to win in week one, on the road, on grass, might be a stretch. Add to that the Buc's defense and the Lions are in for a tough challenge here. I'm happy for Lions fans that they are a "better" team than in recent years however the Buc's have a young, eager team themselves. Can Detroit win this game? Yes, any team can win on any given day but I want to see more from the Lions before I pick them in a game like this one.

My guesstimate is Tampa Bay-24 Detroit-17

this def offensive game but lions got upper hand with better defense.bucs defense sucks big time and mathew stafford is lookin sharp as hell right now.lions should get the victory and could win by touchdown lions offense will light them bucs up.

To many Lion bandwagon jumpers i really don't think they will win this division just yet as i have read many ppl predict, they have definatley improved defensively and there is a lot to like and a lot of upside but until they can beat The Packers they have no shot....very good game here to start the year where they beat the bucs last year on the road .. the line came down from 3 to 1.5 which makes me like the bucs knowing everyone is on the lions here.. should be a tight game either way but i like Tampa Bay here as a short fave.

All you Lion doubters.  The only position they a weak at right now is RB because of injuries but Stafford has plenty of weapons at TE and WR to put up enough numbers to get the win here especially at this low number.  Also TB will have trouble scoring against Detroits D.  Lions 23-14.

Freeman's gonna be beast this year.  I can see TB running with this but then again I have high expectations for them this year as well

So far my books are saying Lions +3-- that is looking sweet--and I have a lot of hopes for the Lions this year { IF THEY STAY HEALTHY}

Lions and Bucs are both young talented teams with a lot of potential. Lions have an easier schedule so they will probably fair better than the Bucs, but I think the Bucs actually have a more well rounded and better balanced team. Bucs have a far superior running game and Freeman has some good options for the passing game as well.

I don't see this being a defensive battle, so I think the OVER is the best bet here.

Liking the Bucs -1 or -1.5 because they are at home and Lions aren't the best Week 1 road team.

I placed a wager on the Lions when they were +500 to win NFC North now they are +250. When I first saw the line for this game, I told myself that I would wait for the ML to come out and the line was +4, now it is all the way to +1! damn. But someone convince me why I should not bet a large amount on Detroit. I like them alot !

BUCS LARGE.   MAYBE REAL SMALL obviously you haven't been following the Lions.  Suh is a complete animal.  The Lions have what they haven't had in 25 years and thats a great D.  I would watch that LARGE BET OF YOURS.

DET +1 (.5u) - TB is 3-12 ATS at home under Raheem Morris, I'm jumping on the Lion train.  Lions 24-Buccaneers 18

Agreed.  Hard to figure out both teams but I do believe both teams will score and endzone enough to go OVER.
