#4 Posted: 12/21/2010 11:15:19 AM Does anyone find it odd that the spread is so high, but the O/U is so low?
I'm thinking the over is the early play here. |

A Steelers beat-down. But, I am going to take the Steelers -13.5, just in case there's any last minute shenanigans going on. But, all in all, here's the visual outcome of this game - a steel diesel truck hitting a small mountain panther on the freeway. |

No, because it could wind up 36-0 - - but, it could wind up 36-3, so, in the words of Dirty Harry, "Do you feel lucky? WELL, DO YOU PUNK!!!!!!!!!!" |

Stillers have NO bite on defense when this beast is not playing. He is the BEST defensive player on the planet. |

#11 Posted: 12/21/2010 8:51:26 PM Don't see the Steelers letting their foot off the gas in this one! Especially considering the "surprise" beating at the hands of Gang Green. We can safely assume the Panthers have reached their seasonal quota of wins & covers>

I am going to swim up stream with YOU on this one! The last time I looked the Carolina Panthers was an NFL franchise as well! Tomlin’s conservative approach and the fact Troy Polamalu has shut it down for the rest of the regular season leads me to think this game will be a lot closer than public perception. The Steelers have already clinched a playoff spot so I do NOT see Coach Conservative risking any unnecessary injuries to his top players. This is a back door cover waiting to happen!
Give me the Panthers plus the two touchdowns and one extra for good luck. Thanks! |

#19 Posted: 12/22/2010 10:24:22 PM I did a quick analysis here...
Roethlisberger with his center Pouncey, Mendenhall & Ward (4 guys playing both ways offense & defense) would be a pick'em at home against the Panthers!!
This may be as close as you'll ever get to a bona fide "l o c k"
Jingle all the way! merry christmas

#20 Posted: 12/22/2010 10:54:22 PM Clausen and Stewart will struggle against the Pitts Defense at home and in inclement weather. 27-6 kinda game.

#23 Posted: 12/23/2010 3:28:08 AM NFL Network PIT-S-Polamalu-OUT -- O well lookit that Carolina I-R list and even without Hairamalu the only way the Panthers would have a shot at covering the spread would be if I was QB-ing them -- STEELERS minus the pts!

#24 Posted: 12/23/2010 3:59:44 AM CAR +14.5 - while the Steelers are the better team, they're without Troy. I'm bettin the late season playoff-clinch, lack of incentive angle will come into play....at least with double digits coming into play. Score: Steelers 21-Panthers 12.
