NOTE: Saints RB - Reggie Bush will be OUT for approximately 6 weeks with a broken leg.

Covers Live Odds shows this as being OFF at all books but gives ATL+6 points as the Covers line. I have seen two online books so far and they show ATL+4.5 points here.

Atlanta is 3-6 SU and 5-4 ATS in their L-9 games at New Orleans. As dogs at New Orleans, the ATL is 2-5 SU and 5-2 ATS during that span of games. The Falcons are 0-5 SU in their L-5 trips as dogs to the Big Easy. I don't know if the Falcons can pull off a SU win even with Bush OUT for the Saints but I do like them to give the Sainst a good game and get a cover at Atlanta+4.5 pts. Division games are always tough and the Saints will be w/o Bush and on a short week. I like the ATL even though the Saints are 8-2 ATS in thier L-10 games as a home fav of 4 or less points.

Pick = Atlanta+4.5 pts

My Guesstimate = New Orleans-24 Atlanta-21

At first glance I would take Atlanta but at some point I think NO will find their offense and hang a huge number on someone.  If forced I'd take Atlanta +4.5 but I'd be nervous!

Yeah I pretty much agree completely with you.  I have bet against N.O. both games this year.  This one I am laying off.  Though would take Atlanta if I had to.

I feel a lot more comfortable taking the over then betting against the saints. Saints are going to put up numbers and their defense will give up points to the good offenses

The Saints offense has had many chances this season so far, and things have just been a little off. I think this game at home against a young ATL defense is what Dree Brees "the perfectionist" needs...a game under the spotlight without any pressure, since both his previous games were national prime time TV. He will put up monster numbers, Atleast 300 yards and 3 TDs passing.

due? i don't think they are due for garbage. at this pt in time the are not the same explosive team as last season. sure it can change vs atlanta, but gut feeling is telling me not quite yet. falcons might be improved since pre-season.

BUSH ON SPECIAL TEAMS GIVES THE SAINTS GREAT FIELD POSITION EVERY TIME HE TOUCHES THE BALL WHICH LEADS TO EASY SCORES.  WITH BUSH OUT THIS GAME SHOULD BE  A CLOSE ONE. TAKE THE POINTS.

please chill.  we're only 2 games into the season.  and meanwhile, saints are 2-0 as falcons are 1-1.  saints don't really need to prove anything.  it's the falcons who need to prove something and so far, they really havent.  and they dont win in new orleans.  so i see value in saints -3.5 and i feel good about it with all the hype these falcons have been getting for doing nothing.  even i thought matt ryan was gonna be great when i saw him play for boston college, but im beginning to change my mind about that guy.  i'll go with drew brees any day over matt ryan.

New Orleans - 31                          Atlanta - 10

Saints -4                                 under 47

Hard to go against the Saints at home even if the dog in this series is the moneymaking play. Going against the trend here. Falcons are 21-4 ATS last 25 in the Pelican State.

Saints - UNDER

Just a divisional game... no pressure (?)... one that, if they lose, would put them behind the Falcons. And no Bush to help push the ball upfield quickly. Piece of cake.

Saints -3 -112 (1 unit) - I needed that hook if I'm taking the Saints today and I got it.  See this as a very close game which may come down to the end.  This will be the best offense the ATL DEF has faced yet this season so it'll be a true test for them.

You said Saints haven't covered a game this year, your wrong  and they are due a big offensive game !  Doesn't mean they cover.  Saints are 2-6 ATS in last 8 as a favorite.

Over 49 / leaning Falcons +3 /  haven't  pulled the trigger on the side yet ......

Some ppl just don't get it, and probably never will !
