#5 Posted: 10/14/2009 1:18:53 PM I actually like the Chiefs in this spot. They broke their streak of 4 consecutive ATS losses last week. More times than not, when a teams beats a streak they will do the same the following week. Besides, the Chiefs are bad, but they're not 0-5 bad. They could easily be 2-3 right now. |

#8 Posted: 10/14/2009 8:03:29 PM Pro-Z, u just like the points or KC for the outright win? Skins pattern this year is to beat the weak sisters at home. I think that continues.

Chiefs + 6.5 over 37
Just don't see the Skins playing consistent enough to give that many points to a team that plays well in a dog situation coming off a non-divisional loss. Chiefs and the over for me |

#11 Posted: 10/14/2009 10:21:26 PM Skins lost to the Lions and havent scored over 17 in 5 games. At least KC scored 20 (vs DAL) and 24(at Balt). Any win for Wash will be a blood and guts struggle imo. |

#12 Posted: 10/14/2009 11:21:07 PM Strange line on this one? Would have figured this would have been closer to 4.5 or 5. Everybody seems to be on KC early- think that line is close to a TD for a reason.A steady flow of Portis and some tough defense causing some turnovers in the comforts of home, perhaps. Early lean on the Skins. Gonna watch this line with interest. |

#14 Posted: 10/15/2009 3:52:16 AM After last week's gift 6 taking Brownie Dogs, Would be very surprised not to see line going down 1/2 , with action leaning towards Chefs,in a similar matchup of mediocre teams. Math seems obvious when DC team can't score more than 9 vs Rams ,16 vs Bucs and 17 vs Panthers, While KC scoring 16 vs Giants and 20 vs Cowboys. Make no mistake, this is THE soft spot for KC's first win and would not be surprised to see Capt. Zorn's days numbered , closer towards the edge of plank, losing to winless Lions and quite possibly to Chefs . Though Chef's are winless ,Pressure's on DC staff to avoid home humilition and let's be clear about this one, Zorn does not inspire as long term solution. KC should be able to score 21 on Skins and that suits fine with generous 6 1/2 .

#15 Posted: 10/15/2009 10:25:28 AM Tell me again, why do I like the Chiefs here?? Oh yeah, that's right, because the 'Skins BLOW ASS!!!!! Look at their 2 wins this season - the sucky Bucs and the friggin' Lambs - both games at home, both games came down to the wire, and they couldn't even score a touchdown on the weak ass Rams for God's sake!!!!! Then they give the Lions their first "W" since 2 seasons ago!!!! Dwayne Bowe and L.J. should have career days against this hapless defense - and if it weren't for JaMarcus Russell on the Raiders, I would say Jason Campbell is probably in the running for the worst QB in the league...... The points are a gift, you could give the Redskins the 6.5 points, and I'd still take the Chiefs.....

I always thought Matt Cassell was a better basketball player when he was at FSU. |

Redskins are 2-8 ATS as favorites under Jim Zorn.
Jason Campbell is 1-6 ATS as a favorite of 6.5 or more.
Chiefs are 1-5 ATS as underdogs
"It's not just another game," quarterback Jason Campbell said. "It's a big game for us -- for a lot of ways and a lot of reasons. We're in a tough division. You can't afford to fall too behind in your division. And for the morale of our team, to get confidence going back in the right direction, you got to do everything you can to get the win."
Mighty Moses the Chiefs are 0-5 bad. They have only won 2 out of their last 30. Their offense is ranked number 30 and they are dead last in third down coversions and on defense. Really they might not win a game this season. I don't know man, Im leaning Redskins. |

#19 Posted: 10/15/2009 8:51:15 PM I think the skins will finally be involved in one that goes "OVER" the total this week... KC desperate to finally win one and having been putting up some decent points against good teams and the skins trying to gather some dignity and perhaps keep a coach on the hot seat..... who wins? hmmm.... I am a closet skins fan from way back... Perhaps the skins will win but cover the spread? I would rather bet the over and that I will... |

#21 Posted: 10/15/2009 9:44:36 PM Yea, you might be right. Campbell is a bottom 3 qb in the league and absolutely take that quote with a grain of salt. I also think much of Casell. Be careful betting on KC just because of the Dallas game, who I feel is overated because of a star. Either way I don't have strong feelings on this game, right now im leaning Washington. The Skins typically don't cover spreads of a touchdown or more and the Chiefs aren't great covering as underdogs like many people seem to believe.
One thing I do when capping games is read what the teams beat writers are saying to try to get a read on how the team is mentally going into each game. There hasn't been anything written about the Chiefs to make me think that they will come out and play over expectations. Anyways GL. |

#24 Posted: 10/15/2009 10:27:11 PM Again I agree with Pro Z! Hell I think we've got a streak going. Let's see- Cleveland,Washington, Tampa Bay, Oakland, and the St. Louie Lambs-WOW! If I could play against these teams every week, I'll being vacationing in Hawaii soon! The Skins are 6.5 pt favs. Where in the hell are they going to dig up the points from? Jason Campbell doesn't have a clue this season. A least KC has play and scored against competitive clubs this year. Taking the Steelers into OT, comes to mind! |
