#4 Posted: 12/3/2007 10:21:12 PM Thanks Hawkeye, w/ this line I gotta go w/ Air Force on this one. Need to study it a little more, but one of the first "pop out at me" plays so far..... |

#6 Posted: 12/4/2007 12:28:09 AM Was looking at some "basic" stats....And I noticed that Air Force gets "out passed" by nearly everyone, but they "out rush" everyone by a very wide margin. CAL seems to out pass the teams they play,,,but give up many more yards on the ground (even to the lesser pac-10 teams). Just seems like a good formula for an underdog here for me......IMO... |

#10 Posted: 12/6/2007 12:21:29 AM I have been on AF all year, 9-2 ATS this year, and you are right on with that 7-0 in the last 7 games. I went to one home game and I am going to this game. The coach was Coach of the Year in the MWC and their main back Chad Hall was the offensive player of the year. They have a great defense with two good LB's and an all confrence CB. This team will be healthy and have a very balanced running game. There last game they had 3 guys go over 100yds. Air Force is moving in one direction while Cal has lost 6 of their last 7. I think the line will get better as time goes, maybe get on it late and get an extra point. |

#11 Posted: 12/6/2007 1:09:27 PM Air Force should be one the easiest plays of the bowl season. Cal's not be too thrilled to playing in the Armed Forces Bowl, and this is Air Force's first bowl in 5 years so they're fired up. Cal won't come to play, just like they didn't a few years ago when they lost to Texas Tech in the Holiday Bowl, after they had admirations of a BCS bowl. Hawkeye, your ATS stat speaks says it all. |

#13 Posted: 12/6/2007 9:31:38 PM Much appreciated MO...In all honesty, if you give me ANY bowl eligible team as a 4 point underdog against CAL,,,I would take em',,, not so much as on Air Force, but against CAL....The only Air Force game I really watched was the beating they put on Notre Dame, and that "parlayed" with the late demise of the Cal team, is what makes me a believer......I'll take Air Force as a dog in this game..... |

#15 Posted: 12/11/2007 8:02:21 AM sorry to burst the bubble .. but AF ended the season vs army , san diego st, and notre dame . keeping in mind notre dame's worst team in modern history. they also caught UTAH at the right time and Wyoming at home. yeah cal fell bakwards into this one but they did so playing in the pac 10 where every weeks a brawl in he trenches. if they stop af from running could be long day for AF D. |

#25 Posted: 12/29/2007 10:14:03 PM At first I was thinking Air Force because of the way they play and the way Cal finished up, but after I noticed that Air Force played 1 team in the top 25, BYU and lost like 37-6 I have decided to pull the trigger on Cal - also, Cal struggled down the stretch last year as well and had to play Texas A&M - (military school) all they did was trounce them in that bowl game. So I'm going with a repeat of that this year, Longshore healthy now and looks like DeSean Jackson is doing alot better also...... What do you think? Score 31 - 17 |
