Oregon state is a very fast starting team....I dont think there are any halftime lines out for this one yet but Im pretty sure I will be taking O state in the first half in this game. Will repost around gametime

Wow, when I looked at this matchup 2 weeks ago, I thought the line might be OSU -7 or -8, when I saw it was -4.5 (now -5) my heart jumped at the chance to bet this game. Dont look at that 37-0 beatdown Maryland put on NCST, NCST coughed the game and then gave up but Maryland folks, is a bad football team...
Their wins this year are: Villanova (oh great!), Florida International (yawwwn!!), @Rutgers (their 1 good win of the year), Ga Tech by 2 at home, win 7 against BC @ home (this is the game directly after BC lost to FSU the previous week, losing their chanes of being undefeated) and the NCST game...
Seriously the one bet this bowl week I've been waiting for is this one, Take OSU -5

BC still had the ACC title to play for. Maryland outmuscled BC that night. That was a quality win. They had injuries out the ass and they pulled it together for a clutch win. Maryland's defense will slow down this OSU offense that is playing with a banged up Bernard, and the Terps O will run the ball. Ball and Lattimore, one, two punch. And when you load up on the run, play action up top to Heyward-Bey. Terps win. 31-14
OSU's two big wins this year (Cal and Oregon) were against teams without QBs. They got smoked at home against UCLA. How do you give up 40 to UCLA? At home?

Ok, true, however Oregon St. down the stretch has won 6 of 7 (going 6-1 ATS as well) while Maryland is 2-4 overall and ATS with their wins being the BC and NCST game mentioned above. Sure BC had the ACC championship to play for but they had an emotional win against VTech the week before FSU, then they lose against FSU for their first loss, that's 2 straight emotional roller coaster week and I thought against a down Maryland team, BC would struggle that game when that game happened. Maryland haven't done much all season....if you like Maryland, go ahead, but I can't see how u could explain taking them this game especially out west where OSU will have a home field type feel...

Md 29th ranked Def and Oreg St ranked 36th. Also, Oreg St QB's collectively have 10 TD's and 20 Picks. Looks like it might be a sloopy track in SF tomorrow ( The great equalizer). Like the Terps +5 and possibly the the under.

Oregon State played its best football of the season towards the end
winning six of its last seven games, both SU and ats. Maryland was 2-4 SU & ATS in its last six games.
Oregon State is 19-8 ATS after having won three out of their last four games.
Oregon State's offense lays in the hands of RB Yvensen Bernard and he is well rested and back to play this game.
The Beaver defense was stifling this year, allowing just 2.1 yards per
carry on the ground and just a 28% third down conversion rate, good
enough for second in the nation.
Beavers are 15-6-1 ATS in their last 22 games as a favorite.
The Terps are 9-21 ATS in road games versus good rushing defenses allowing 120 or less rushing yards a game.
IMO I do not see a high scoring game in this match up between 2 teams that loves to run the ball. The only difference between the 2 is that Oregon St has a defense to back up their running game.
Waiting for the weather closer to game time but leaning on taking Oregon St at the half -3 or maybe the under at 47.
Still thinking.........

Last year in this bowl game, FSU (ACC) was getting 3.5 from UCLA (Pac-10) and not only did FSU win outright, they thumped UCLA......just a thought....I've been leaning on Maryland getting the points since the matchup was announced, but haven't done my homework yet....still thinking

OSU and BC are going to be my two big plays today......I think this is the day that the books can't hide from. Two favorites, agaisnt softer defenses......both with solid QB play and better sos. OSU will slap Maryland around....they are the hotter team of the two and BC has just too much muscle and intelegence for that dumb MSU team to handle. Not to mention, the suspensions on the MSU side of the ball are on the defensive front for the most part I believe???
Big D sites some great trends above.......they point very hard to the Beavers!!
