Easy guys. I'm a life long penn state fan and there is one thing you learn from watching the big ten every year, there's no such thing as an easy bet. Michigan has beaten PSU the last 8 meetings, and although psu spreads out their offense, Morelli is hardly an ideal qb for a true spread like Oregon's. When the total shows up i'll be taking the under, this should be a run heavy contest with both teams trying to make as few mistakes and take as few chances as possible, thats big ten football. Connor and linebacker u hold hart to under 100 and king picks a late pass to ice it. 17-14

Easy Boys. I'm a dual supporter of OSU and WVU so no one was enjoying the Michigan fall from grace more than I. However, let me tell you why I think Michigan will cover the spread here.
Yeah, Notre Dame sucks and their offense is one of the worst I have ever seen. Michigan has absolutely nothing to lose in this game because everyone has counted them out. A team with nothing to lose is extremely dangerous. I wasn't convinced that Michigan would come out against Oregon, but they seem poised at trying to salvage the season with a Big Ten title. This is step 1.
I see this matchup of a weak offense(PSU) versus a weak defense(UM). On the other side you have a strong defense(PSU) versus a strong offense(UM). Penn State's unit has not yet been tested, I mean come on, Florida Int., Notre Dame, and Buffalo? The defensive unit for PSU is not as good as last years, how could it be with losing maybe the best linebacker in PSU history. Hart is carrying this team on his back and just like Michigan at the end of last season and early this season, PSU will get exposed in this game. Michigan is at home and a wounded dog, you don't poke sticks at a wounded dog because it will bite. Sometimes a coach or a team just owns another team. Tressell owns Michigan. Carr owns Penn State. Michigan takes this one 24-17 as Hart and Manningham carry this team to victory.

I can see where Michigan gets some backers here,"were back!',"tough spot for PSU","ebb and flow",what ever.I cant find anything that justifies this spread,Michigan is a bad team folks, real bad.thats why this number scares me.I may go to school on this one,but with PSU at -3,I'm willing to pay the tuition.will look hard at the UNDER also when posted.

Here's the way I see it:
I think you are seriously underestimating this PS team. Yes they have yet to be truly tested. But to assume they have a weak offense is inaccurate. Their WRs are quite solid and they have a great new TE in Quarless. Morelli has yet to prove himself to many, but he managed the bowl game very nicely last January, and he's played well so far this year. He has something to prove -- in his "contract year" as it were.
I think the PSU defense is stronger than last year. A shutout to start the year is nice no matter who the opponent. ND has a defensive TD and their lone FG was set up by a fumble. Could have been a shutout also. Last week they let down in the 4th quarter with a mix of 2nd and 3rd stringers.
Posluzney was awesome, but many think Conner is even better. He will break Poz's tackle record if he remains healthy. The LBs and DBs are stacked. The D-Line was a ? with 3 new kids but have played well so far. The defense IS ranked # 1 in rushing yards, even if the competition was weak. They are also tied for # 1 in sacks with 13.
I am well aware UM has won 8 straight in this matchup. But all streaks come to an end, and this one stops here. Hart makes no guarantee this week, and they still have a freshman QB. Penn State by double digits, 27-10.

Do not underestimate the leadership of Mike Hart....He will inspire his teammates making this a close game, at Michigan.......If Penn St covers it will be slim.......
Too many other good plays this week.....I'll enjoy watching this one......

Penn St will get long awaited revenge against Mich in the big house. Yes Michigan looked good last week against the irish. Hell they make everybody the play look good. Michigan still sucks, just not as bad as the irish.Ialso have PSU as the big 10 champs this year

Was JFK still president when Joe Pa started coaching at PS? Michigan
winning out, taking the Big Ten and going to the Rose Bowl is as likely
as them Losing to Appalachian State at home. I cant believe anyone in
their right mind would bet on any game Michigan is in unless its
college basketball. Michigan football is a totally random event and
therefore only chronic degenerate gamblers would bet on it Michigan
18 PSU 14

Going to an entertaining match-up to watch, but not sure I will bet this one simply because there are better plays. I beleive Meechigan will win this game straight up, but who would know? PSu has played no one yet.
The reason I pick Meechigan is they have more motivationj after their lousy start, and traditionally they are good as long as they stay in conference. In other words, their offense and defense are both built to be effective aginst other Big 11 teams. They get into trouble when they get outside the conference and face more speed and diversified offenses. I think they win a pretty good defensive struugle, say 20-14.
