Have a feeling this line will rise to at least 28 by week end.  White/Slaton combo is good for at least 40 against the MAC. 

WVU defense is the only thing that will hold them back here.

Marshall gave up 251 on the ground to Miami with a 6.4 yards per carry average.

I was hoping to hit this one first, but thats ok.  This one is very simple, and I am not being a homer here.  WVU put up 62 against W. Michigan and W. Michigan is ten times better than Marshall.  W. Michigan had the 11th ranked defense last year while Marshall's was 101st and Marshall showed nothing in improvement last week.  W. Michigan did a pretty good job containing White and Slaton last week, Slaton had half his yards on one carry, but Marshall has nothing upfront.  I know this is in Huntington, but at least half the fans will be WVU fans and the stadium is not very big, meaning they have less fans rooting against them.  This is a no brainer.  WVU will cover this even if the spread is 40.  Marshall is sub par even for a Conference USA team and WVU's offense will keep rolling.  Rodriguez might try and keep the score down, but I'm looking at another score somewhere around 66-17.  Don't think about it, just take WVU, I guarantee they will cover.

WVU's second string offense with Brown, Devine, and Sanders is better than Marshall's first string offense. Unless they bring in the third stringers, expect WVU to hit 60 points again.  I'm just hoping to see this 6-8 wide receiver play.  Good Luck everyone.

I tend to agry.
I don't see how the T.Herd can keep this close. wvu improved nearly everything last week, 'cept Punting. But they won't Punt (much) to Marshall. Everything looks low here to me. The $-Line & Pt.Spread alike.

by the way anyone have some ideas on some good books....been on bodog for a few years, but not all that happy with them.  they wait too long on releasing the lines, allowing them to get pushed and pulled before we get a first look at them...crooks!

Very simple equation. If Miami beats Marshall 31-3, West Virgina at least duplicates the score. In my opinion, WV would beat Miami 31-3, and I'm a die hard Canes fan. WV rolls easily. They might win by 50!

I like WVU 1st half and for the game. This is the big state game for the fans.Talked to a Marshall alum who played  there.  The Thundering turds have less of a team than last year. I was impressed with the 2nd O team for WVU last week. Look for them to play the 4th qtr here.  My early line is 23.5. I think the 2nd string could even cover that for us!

I am a die hard mountaineer fan and also am going to the game..WVU rolls easy in Huntington..I dont even think that this will be a game after kickoff..WVU 1st string will put up 42 within  3quaters 4 sure and when the 2nd team gets in there they will definitely be trying to score..My prediction of the final score will be WVU  56    Marshall  17(thats how many units I am playing on this game)..Goodluck to all that are on the mounty side..Look for my thread on Thursday or Friday I have alot of winners for the weekend(at least 7)!!!!!!!!!!

Saberjake...thanks for the tip-I'll check it out.  I won't get into it with you about Texas, USC.  I think the horns maybe in a bit of trouble this year...but so it goes.  And yes USC let me down on saturday, but its early...for both teams. I will say this though, if i was a betting man I would take the points with TCU come saturday, but I am not a betting man....

Staying on the WVU bandwagon too potent of an offense for Marshall to handle WVU names the score. 1st half wager likely here too

and WVU#1 love your comment about the home field not being a factor spot on!

Pat White is listed as probable for the Marshall game in USA Today.  He supposedly has a wrist injury.
