Northern Illinois and Fresno are the 2 biggest fraud teams.  Thank GOD neither made it to a BCS bowl.  That would be pitiful and a disgrace.  Best advice is to stay away from this game. There are better games on the board to bet on.

I think "fraud" is a bit harsh, but I'll agree it's probably best they didn't make a BCS bowl, as evident by NIU's performance last year.  BG provided a blueprint how to beat NIU, but I'm banking on Lynch ending his college career on a high note.  Good luck.

not frauds just over valued by general pop so especially last 3rd of the season it was costing a premium (line wise) to take either team, I took BG last game because they have a great mac level D especially vs the run & NIU has a weak D. when u make NIU's offense one dimensional by taking away the run they look like they did vs BG, lynchs running opens up the passing, Utah is obviously a step above BG on D especially the front 7, I had Utah teased vs fresno because of the D & D only, I respect lynch and NIU and they won me plenty of money in the past & before the exposure & average joe action steadily pushed the books to charge a premium, Utah held fresno in check & that offense is much more difficult to defend being run by a guy as gifted as carr & athletically fresno posed many more tough matchups with 3 stud WRs & just enough running to keep them honest, this NIU match up plays right to utahs strengths on D, lynch wont be able to run against them, the question to me is can Utah score....yes they will be able to win the battle on the line of scrimmage leaning on the undersized NIU D line opening up the occasional play action & a big play here & there, biggest point is NIU doesn't have the horses to stop what utahs offense really wants to do which is run the ball, Utah does and has shown consistently especially 2nd half of year and down the stretch they have the ability to dictate what NIU does on offense not allowing lynch to beat them on the ground, they will put NIU in 3rd n long situations constantly which they are not designed for

Under 58. Utah St is exactly the kind of team that can stop NIU. Good run defense so that Lynch can't run wild like he usually does. Utah St QB is a freshman coming off a concussion in his last game.

I would want to make sure Garretson is playing for USU before making a decision on this game.  Their backup was horrible and couldn't have any offense.  Not comfortable in the pocket at all, and as a junior, shouldn't be having those issues.

Tough pick here.  FWIW: One thing we got to be careful of: NIU did NOT get blown out by FSU in the OB last year.  Score was 17-10 start of 4th, bad pick in 4th and FSU jumped on it.  Only lossing by 21 is the best performance v. FSU by any team in 2013 to date. Lynch will make up for loss at BUGS in this one.  NIU  GL2A.

Northern Illinois - 1.5 Over Utah State!

Can't see Utah State being able to contain NFL bound superstar QB Jordan Lynch!  Lynch passed tor 2,676 yards with 23 TDs...and rushed for no less than 1,881 YDs and 22 TDs!

With his key RB Stingily (1,081 RYs...9 TDs) and WR Tommylee Lewis, will look for Northern Illinois to put up plenty of early points, cover the spread, and turn this game into a cake-walk!

Northern Illinois 9-1 in their last 10 games!

NIU now 5-1 at home!

Northern Illinois  48  Over  Utah State  23!   5 Unit Wager!

I bet he gets drafted late. He will be a special team player until they find out if he can learn to play slot reciever. They say he only has 4.7 speed in the 40 but he outran MAC cornerbacks all year long so I'd say he is one of those Welker type guys who runs faster than his 40 yard times. His arm isn't strong enough to be an NFL QB. Tough SOB, you have to give him that.

Sports insights says 64% of the bets are on NIU yet the line has moved big time against NIU. Line opened at NIU -2.5 and now it is at NIU +1. This adds up to sharps slamming Utah ST. I still like NIU because I'm an NIU graduate, but I'm not betting on them. Ill do thisbut not this.

I will have to give Utah State the edge on this game, just not a believer in the Mac.  Playing on natural grass surface in SanDiego .

He is already slated at a mid round draft pick and starting FB in the NFL.  Not everything is perceived at face value so try understanding that athletes like Julian Edelman, starting QB for Akron, have skills outside the CFB position and general football knowledge.  Matt Jones, Jimmy Graham, and Tony Gonzalez are a few others that come to mind.

Back to the game: hoping public keeps flowing money on USU to get plus points for NIU.

Funny quote here since Fresno just beat USU to win the MWC championship game.
