Ohio has no business being in a bowl. East Carolina has an offense that puts up 40 points a game and that is against teams better than Ohio who has absolutely stunk the last half of the season. East Carolina-13.5 for the large. The bet mentioned by poncho is an even better bet but my book isn't yet offering it. Sharps should push this line above the key number of 14 so get it while you can. There won't be many lines that are flat off during the bowls so grab this one.

ECU has been a historically poor bowl team, while Ohio seems to overachieve.  While I agree that ECU is the better team on paper, Ohio's pass D is decent enough that they can cover the points in this game.  Ohio won and covered 4 of their last 5, so I wouldn't call that stinking the last half of the season.

Oops, read the Ohio schedule incorrectly.  lorduz, you're right, they finished poorly losing 3 or last 4.  My bad.  Still leaning Ohio if line exceeds 14.  Good luck.

Hey eighty mo, Its cool if we disagree. I made money following the MAC conference all year. I have looked at Ohios'  and East Carolinas' past performance and I think this East Carolina team is playing THE WORST team it has ever played in a bowl and they will score at will against them. Ohio will get some points as well but I'll bet that they lose by more than 2 TDS. Just my opinion, good luck everybody.

ECU Pirates are a far better team than Ohio and should cover the 2 TDs....if they show up.  Bowls always make me wonder about motivation and how they practiced so just average bet for me in a meaningless bowl.

Toledo, a seven-win team that beat both UB and league champion Bowling Green, was left on the sidelines. How does this shitty Ohio team get in this one?

Ohio gets blown out in this game....not even close...

East Carolina will light up Ohio like a Christmas tree in this one..

Tettleton mailed in his season months ago for Ohio

East Carolina in a romp!

Ohio kicked butt in a bowl last year as a 7 point dog...I'll give them the b.o.d and take them getting 14!

If it comes down to it, I'll be hedging a teaser with Ohio and Ohio on the ML as well for a gigantic payout. No one thinks Ohio can win but it certainly could happen, this is college football

Tettleton did seem to fold his season, but he had a big last game, and yes it was against lowly Mass, but the kid can play when he wants to. He has also proven to be monster in the two bowl games he has played in. ECar has a HORRIBLE defense, especially against the pass. I'm taking Ohio +14, over, and the money line cause I thinks we have a possible DOUBLE DIGIT DAWG outright winner. Laugh. You all laughed at my CSU pick. And that was a miracle finish but they were down big and came back the whole game. Mike Leech is one of the worst coaches in the NCAA

I can't work up any enthusiasm about a team that was as pathetic as these Bobcats. Before their breakout beat down of mighty Massachusetts they scored 16 against Kent, BG and Buff who combined for 123 points against them. They feasted on the weakest members of the MAC while their only quality win was against Marshall.
Their is a problem with coaching here I think since they have talent when they want to use it. Maybe it's time for Solich to hang up the whistle.
Ohio is just to schizoid for me, there are better games coming.

JinnRikki,

Your points (highlighted) are right on point Sir which is exactly the reason this line opening up a 12.5 makes absolutely zero (0) sense…  I’ve learned over the years bowl season is where the Wise Men in Vegas get any NCAAF gains they paid out back.  I haven’t looked at all the bowl game lines, but I’m willing to give 2 to 1 odds that Southern California/Fresno State game will be the easiest play of the entire bowl season.

With that said, it takes pain to win in the bowl season and it’s painful to invest in this Bobcat squad that hasn’t shown up against any type of competition since October 5.  So……….  put me down for Ohio plus the two touchdowns for a Nickel please.  Thanks!

They looked that way because they had already won the game before they went on the field against WE ARE in their minds.   That shouldn't happen again.

Prirates don't play well in Bowls historically.....kinda like my Irish.  But, being a MAC grad from Ball St, I keep my eyes on the the games all year and Ohio is not a good team.  They have no business even being in a bowl.....kinda like ND!!!  I'll lay the heavy chalk here and see if I can keep up the good start to the Bowl season.....has to be better than my picking in the regular season!

I do think the Pirates win this, but 2 TD's plus with the bowl history between these two, I don't know about a side here. Should be a shootout, ECU likes to sling it around and Ohio's QB is not too bad either. Near record high temperatures in St. Pete this afternoon could factor in a little. Both defenses may get a little worn down rushing the passer and trying to stay with the receivers in the 80 degree heat. If the Bobcats can manage at least 21 points this one should go over. Over 62.5, GLTA!
