PeeWee, it's fairly obvious given your statements that you a Rice fan and I think you are giving advice with your heart and not your head. First off, as a Penn Stater myself I wouldn't lay a dime on what Matt Millan has to say about match ups. Far beyond that, the head to head comparison on offense clearly favors Marshall at all skilled positions. QB Cato, RB taliaferro, and WR shuler all present match up problems for Rice. While you may say that Taylor MacHargue is serviceable, in actuality he is a dual personality on the field. When he is one (Texas A&M) he's a stud, but when he is off (kansas) he sucks balls. Laying money on Rice is suicide financially.
I do love Rice but if you read my posts I never said to take them. If you think I implied it? Possibly. I just feel like I have been betting enough to know that a lot of people will think Marshall is this unbelievable offense and should destroy Rice. But it's seems that oddsmakers generally are pretty smart. They opened with Rice +4.5.
I guess what I try to do here on covers is tell you what I do know. The weather, the Rice running game, the turf, what Matt Millan said. The last thing I want to do is just post my prediction with the handshake symbol.
I like information. Yours is good. I feel mine is good. I know Charles Ross is a beast. I know Rice likes to run. I don't know anything about Marshall. I don't know about Rice's free safety for example. If Matt Millan wants to watch film to prepare then as an ex player and ex nfl exec I will take his opinion for what it's worth. They asked him questions and he answered them, so I don't blame him.
Here is an example of what people on covers do....Marshall killed ECU and they were killing it weeks prior. Rice barely beat Tulane and needed OT to beat UAB. And Marshall killed UAB. Therefore Marshall will destroy Rice....while this may be the case it a lot of times isn't.

Hey Peewee thanks for the info. You are a Rice football fan and there is certainly nothing wrong with that. We all have teams that we root for and follow passionately. From the content of your write-ups you seem to be intelligent and the fact that you follow Rice football lets you provide some unique insight into this contest. No disrespect to anyone else on this site but you are certainly my favorite type of poster because you do provide information, not just a pick and the handshake symbol as you referred to earlier. Wish there were more posters like you. Good Luck to you on your endeavors Peewee.

Appreciate it. Good luck to you as well. I actually graduated from Baylor. But I live a couple miles from Rice stadium. For the record I think Baylor is good, but 16 points better than Texas? Not sure about that.

Congrats to the Rice backers, big program win for them today. And weather had nothing to do with it. I totally missed this one, but being lucky is better than good. I helped my wife with an errand and didn't get my bet in on Marshall or UCF today. Great time to be sloppy.
