Utah St +3.5. Fresno State was exposed last week as a sham top 20 team. Their defense gave up 62 points to a 5-6 team from a lousy conference. Utah State has rebounded nicely from losing their star quarterback Chuckie Keeton at exactly the wrong time, when they had to play Boise St and BYU. The Fresno State QB is excellent when he has time to throw but Utah State won't allow this to happen. Two weeks ago Utah State shut out the excellent Colorado State QB who has thrown for more than 3000 yards this year. I took this bet early because i love it on the right side of that key 3 number. This is also a letdown spot for Fresno State as their undefeated season was ended last week.

Agreed! I could see USU easily winning this game.  And that was easily winning...not winning easily.

Fresno might have a mediocre defense, but they make up for it with their explosive offense.  Utah St does not have the power offense to match with Fresno's offense, so Fresno will try to outscore Utah and eventually Fresno will end up winning  by 7 to 10 pts.

Im looking at Fresno here.  There points allowed last week was exposed by the huge passing attack Fales brought to the game.  The Aggies just cant replicate that.  I see it as a hiccup and not a reflection.

Carr comes back leading to 6-7 TDs again, and Fresno wins with a small smile, knowing their undefeated season didn't happen.  Two losses for them would be a nightmare and they get back firing again.

FRES -3

the public gets all moist when they see flashy offensive teams...just like NIU...no one gave BG a chance and they crushed lynch and all the hype...Utah will win this game, they have the physical edge on both sides of the line of scrimmage, very solid D, very active D line, this is he only legit D fresno has played all year, just like NIU faced the best D they've seen all year. all the hype is on Carr & the 25+ NFL scouts that will attend this game, no one is talking about Utah just like no one talked about BG playing NIU. could carr & his solid WRs make some plays and win? yes of course, could their D step up and stop the run of Utah yes of course this is gambling but I'm putn my $$ on Utah...BOL fellas

Lots of solid points above...but you have to figure Carr comes to play knowing he now is a front runner for the Heisman, after the public watched Lynch get smacked silly!!  Line moving opposite what I feel is a FS cover at 3 or less, which is rarely a good thing!!  Daknow...surely both teams score points here and could easily be a tie come end of regulation if the books are right with a -3 spread for the home team with teams playing about the same caliber at this point in the season...

Over 60!

How is Carr the front runner for the Heisman? You forget about Jameis?

Yeah, I don't see Carr getting in the top group to go to NYC.  Doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it but the Heisman has become a joke the last 15-20 years, mostly a publicity campaign and a product of the talking heads.  Carr will be more impacted by the NFL scouts more than any award.  Haven't decided yet but I usually like home teams in close games if the line looks to be close.

Utah st has good defense. Fresno can't stop anything. A steady ground attack from Utah st will slow Fresno down. They play each other every year, nothing's changed except Fresno stopped running the ball consistently. Utah st played well against USC and their top receivers, "Under kiffen and granted a different team".  But I will go with the aggies here. This is the best d Fresno has faced all year. Utah st + 3.5
