I'm asking. Why would LSU not put a field goal with 9:30 left instead of going for it when its 4th and miles????? A field goal wouldve put them a TD (with 2) and a field goal away.   In stead, they got nothing.  Fishy. Very Fishy. Not to mention again shady calls by the refs at crucial moments

Never blame on a conspiracy what could be just as easily attributed to good ole human stupidity. It was in my opinions a very dumb thing to do. That does not mean that a coach paid millions is going to throw a game. If a coach paid millions was to throw a game he would have to be paid millions. You have a hard time placing one 10,000 dollar bet, much less 110 which would be required to break even on a million dollar bribe. Maybe the LSU coach knew Bama was a far talented team and he had to take risks to win. 4th quarter that Bama team was dominant, they wore that LSU line down on both sides of the ball. Anyway game is at Mississippi state. Home field means a lot in the SEC. Sure if Bama plays as hard as MSST they will cover the spread, but will they? I just might make a small play on the big spread taking MSST, I'll wait till I get my reduced odds to decide.

you see, I'm not talking about the risk of the coach for a bet. Its bigger than that.  Bama is the only Sec team to cover the national championship.  I don't deny that Bama was and is the better team but when the coach GAMBLES on one play, it just was grossly negligible and suspicious.  It's hundred's of millions of dollars at stake. Not a simple bet that you refer to.

@kamflow tell me about it I was on the over had it at 55 1/2 with my local and I thought they would've went for the field goal to get them back in the game but these mofos go for it and couldn't convert so I ended up losing that bet but I couldn't been mad cuz I expected something like that from les lol but on to the next one but that game should've went way over 55

Bama will totally shut this weak MSU offense down.  MSU may not score until the backups come in late, and even then they may be overmatched.  Bama may have a little hangover from the LSU game but I don't think it will change the outcome that much because Saban won't let them lay down. MSU is just not a very talented team so I like Bama to roll here, even though it is on the road.

Bama       41        MSU       10

when my first half spread comes out, i'm playing it large. i'm going to assume it'll be in the neighborhood of Bama -14.

I will wait to see where this line goes, I feel it will go up slightly the closer we get to game time, either way I will buy it up to 28 and take the bulldogs +, they will be 100 percent up for this one, they also have one of the best homefeild advantages in college football and the cowbells will be ringing, on the other hand alabama is in a classic let down spot, they will not be up for this, even 70 percent of bama will win this game, but I see it much closer than most, buying up to 28 makes me feel much more confident in a win, no way bama wins it by 4 td's, BULLDOGS+28, 4 units to get back 2.5ish

I need someone to tell me what a difference in the game that the absence of QB Dak Prescott could have in this one? Is it the difference in a total blowout 65-0 and a mini blowout 35-21 and not covering? Just trying to put in perspective the impact this cat would have or not have against this Bama D.

Little help from the peanut gallery please ...

Their other QB suckssss. can run but cannot throw worth a darn, from what I have seen of him.  If they get behind by too much and he has to throw it a lot I would not be surprised with multiple picks, but I doubt they will put the game on the shoulders because of this...Russel has been there for a while, I have only seen one or two games this year of him but unless there was a miracle he still blows.

the QB situation for the bulldogs is a concern for me, but back up qb tyler russell is a senoir and has started 2 games vs alabama in his career, a 24-7 loss at home in 2011 and a 38-7 loss on the road last year, so he does have experience vs the style of play of alabama and in the end that may be a good thing, add to the fact that he is a senoir playing in what is most likely the biggest remaining football game of his career vs an alabama team that will be much less than inspired for this one,  this may be one of those LIFE situations where a guy steps up and plays his best game, I am counting on this and so are a lot of gamblers as this line just went down to -23 from 26 in the matter of 12 hours since it was mentoned that russel will most likely start, I got the BULLDOGS +28 -170 early on today and I am confident is this play with either prescott or russell in their. with a great homefeild advantage and the motivation factor being key.  4 units to win 2.35

That is probably a safe bet Sir.  I teased to -13.5 GL and may we both CA$H.  I just have not been impressed with Russell from what I have seen.  No doubt Miss St will be fired up, but I have yet to see anything that has led me to doubt the genius of Mr. Saban.  A good coach makes sure his team is prepared each week.  This includes the mental aspect.  At this current time Alabama will not be able to sneak into the 'ship with one loss again this year.  Saying Saban will not have his team inspired for this game might be going out on a limb.

History shows (excepting last year) ALA plays Miss St. after LSU back to 2008  ALA shows no let down and no mercy the exception being 2011 whne ALA lost the 6-9 game. and Bama pushed by 17 the next game vs Miss St

At SamsTown in vegas the board had ALA - 23 1/2 and S Car -12
Played ALA -17 to S Car -5 1/2 and both games str.

Why would it be a sandwich game? Sandwiched with who? UT Chattanooga? I think that the first time Dax Prescott comes around that corner thinking he'll keep it instead of dish it off in the option and gets tattooed by CJ Mosley it will be a game changer. I think LAS8 is on the money, Saban is a sick, twisted man and he'll have these boys geeked outa their minds down in Starkville. They'll be ready for Dax and all the cowbells they can ring, as hard as they can ring em. They won't be looking ahead...

Take the game line -23.5.

Interesting stat-

In the last four years in this game, Miss State has scored only 3 points in the first three quarters all four years combined.

Like the UNDER early in week.  Like it MORE with Prescott out.  Like it MOST with Green's "interesting stat".

UNDER 53....   (under 50)

Thoughts on ALA...   with all the high flying offenses with 0-1 loss this year, the coaching staff took huge notes on Stanford's dominance against Oregon.   Smash the football, and air one out when necessary (keep your OWN offense honest).  I think this recipe will be used in this game and moving fwd to ensure (or reinforce their own) this style is clicking in the last couple of weeks.

Some Math thoughts....

O/U is 53.    Bama is -23.5    Like all O/Us:  TTs are derived from this.    39 & 14.5, respectively

Does history suggest MissSt will score more than 2 TDs?  I don't see it.  Saban is looking for another defensive goose egg.

hahahaha    I do see that 39 + 14.5 DONT add up to 53....   but my rationale is in there   ....   somewhere.

Only if Alabama does not want to cover the spread will they not cover the spread so the fix is in or not it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that it's impossible for Alabama  not to cover a 30 point spread against these bums next to the teams Alabama has already beat down only a loser Miss St!

Mississippi State plays zero (0) defense and their head coach is on the hot seat so I see them pulling out all the stops…  Alabama is pitching a shutout against second tier SEC squads, but I’m quite sure the Bulldogs will score at least three touchdowns at the house today…

With that said, NO play for me on the side but put me down for Over the Total for a Nickel please.  Thanks!

Tide rolls, question is whether or not State will score a TD or just kick a few FG's?
