Now I won't call you dickrider because I got through middle school a long time ago.  However, I remember Oregon beating UCLA by 28 points.  That is struggling? I'm sorry but being tied at the half and pulling away with an unanswered 28 points against a prolific offense is pretty impressive.  The game against the Huskies was similar.  Great teams pull away in the second half.

MAXIMUS002 post is as clubtnt said, spot on.

Oregon and the Under

The under is respect to Stanford's quality D giving up less than Oregon's 55.6 ppg average.

ORE D is very good, no fluke shutting down a very good UCLA O .

Stan takes a big hit losing Gardener. Stan inability to control the clock and or tempo will leave the Ducks on the field too many times, and if the Ducks avoid turnovers they will win this by 20+

FleshGordun,

I agree with just about all of your points and I definitely agree with your predicted outcome, however Stanford is an Elite team and their defensive unit is right up there with Alabama and Florida (before all those Gator injuries).

Now I wouldn’t say the Cardinal offense is going down hill, but I don’t think they showed very much in their last outing (i.e. they did just enough to win at Oregon State so they could get home and prepare for this game which they've had circled on the calender for weeks).  I guarantee they will give Oregon their best shot and this WILL be the Ducks toughest task all season…  Unfortunately for the Cardinal their best shot will not be enough here largely due to what Florida State is doing…  The remainder of Oregon’s schedule should be “W’s” (I would be leery of that trip to the desert…  strange things happen in the desert), so a solid axx whooping on the road of the number five (5) team in the country is just what the doctor ordered to cement themselves in a National Championship showdown with “them” boys from Tuscaloosa.

I hate investing with 70%+ of the public, but I don’t think the Wise Men in Vegas can get to anyone on team Ducks that will have a major impact on the outcome of this one so………………  put me down for the Black Mamba minus the chalk for a Dime please.  Thanks!

Me, I like Oregon because of the revenge angle and the fact that Stanford's D is not as good as last year's.  Oregon's D, on the other hand, is stronger than last year. Line is ONLY 10 because of where the game is being played, and 10 Pts on the road vs the 5th ranked teamin the country tells me Vegas thinks there's a large disparity between the 2 teams

Oregon for me

What ever happened to Home dogs on Thursday?  No one thought Stanford had a chance last year and they won out right.  I love the Ducks but sticking with the home team with the points.

I can only say the QUACKS will win by at least 17 . Their D is very good and underated this year and should stop the Cardinal . They will try to get to the outside and run and will and also its a Revenge game as they lost last year to Stanford

I am hoping the mascot has been doing some extra work in the weight room this week as the duck will be doing pushups and dropping duck turds all over the trees!

Oregon 1st half and game #Bloodbath

Last year Mariota played real tight. He over threw open receivers. I'm betting he plays like his regular self this time around. Stanford still has a great front seven on defense and a couple of NFL bound players on their offensive line. But Stanford doesn't have the offensive skill players to hang with Oregon. I like that Oregon is very motivated to win by as many points as possible in order to play Bama for the national championship. Most teams just play to win late in the game and that makes back door covers a lot more likely.

lowest scoring game this season Oregon: 42
lowest scoring game this season Stanford: 20

I do not see either of these teams having their least total this season.
Over is the play.  1K

Just looking at the three team they each have played, UCLA ,Wash St and Wash.

Ore. averaged 635 yds on off and gave up 404 on def.
Their total off rank for the season is 2 and def is 27

Stan. averaged 419 yds on off and gave up 376 on def.
Their total off rank for the season is 80 and def 25

Gotta go with Ducks -11

Like a Home dogs on this one, Oregon will win this game by 7 points or less.

Onlines books give out Oregon -9.5..Why?

I teased the ducks & troy, the ducks must win yes they have revenge & if they want national backing for title game consideration they must win by two scores but at -10 im just not sure, stanfords D line is nasty & they have a physical o-line so I think they will be able to move the ball on the ground, they cant keep pace through the air and ultimately that will cost them. I think ducks win by 7-8 but wont cover -10 in my opinion hence the tease with troy, BOL

Im going with Stanford and the Under. I think Oregon will win but it will be a close game. Stanford has 7 seniors on there defense that played in that same game last year and they will be ready for the challenge. This is Oregon's first true road game and I like stanford too cover. Lets get it Cards. Seems like I'm the only one on this thread that likes Stanford lol
