Considering Cincy has only scored over 21 total points against FBS teams once I've gotta agree with you.

4 turnovers last week and they lose to USF
3 turnovers the week before and they score 14 in the 4th to win 14-0 against Miami(OH)

The numbers for Cincy are so confusing.  They move the ball well, but it just doesnt translate into points.

Poor discipline with penalties (13) , poor field goal pct (40) and poor redzone scoring pct (77) are probably to blame.

Temple is the pick for me +21.5 and if cincy manages to "get it together" long enough to score some points, then GJ I guess.

Add in the U - 53 as well.  Even if Cincy manages 30 (which is asking ALOT), there is zero chance Temple scores 23.

Isolated on Friday alone, what a compelling game to watch.

Not sure how one can reasonably handicap this game with the inconsistent play on both sides. Cincy talent wise and home field advantage is the paper pick. I think I'll just stay late at the office and work instead.

"Freshman quarterback P.J. Walker is expected to make his first career start for the Owls after he completed 10 of 19 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown with one interception last week in a 30-7 loss to No. 8 Louisville. He also ran for 33 yards after replacing Connor Reilly midway through the second quarter."

Think this will impact the the owls in a positive or negative way?  impact on the over/under?

Not fooling with you or Cincinnati to cover the number here, but I’m with you on the Total…  The Bearcats offensive line is in disarray and Turberville has a propensity to run the football and play field position which will chew up the clock.  I think the Owls will be lucky if they score 10 points against this stout defensive unit, which means I’m counting on Cincinnati NOT scoring 41 points…

With that said, put me down for Under the Total for three (3) C-Notes please.  Thanks!

Cincy lost on the road to USF who did not score ONE offensive touchdown. I couldn't believe it 26 points and not one offensive touchdown. Four turnovers and a kick return for a touchdown aided the USF Bulls to the victory.

Now Tuberville is not a complete idiot of a coach. His Bearcats do have the number four ranked defense in the country. Some other points to keep in mind:
  • Cincy gains 2.81 yards more per play at home vs. on the road.
  • Temple managed to score a late 4th Quarter TD against Louisville's #3 ranked defense.
  • Temple has covered both double-digit large spread its had this year (vs. Louisville and @ Notre Dame)
  • Temple's defense is ranked 122nd in the country, yet no one has scored over 30 points on them in a game...HMMN!!!
So the question is can Cincy score at least 28 points against Temple?...they can and will. Will Temple score at least once?...they will.

The difference is this, Cincy will rebound from a terrible performance at home on a Friday night. They'll play a spirited ball game on the prime time national stage and beat the breaks off Temple and be the first to score over 30 on the Owls defense.

I've been doing real well this year and the difference is I've replaced my square personal opinions with those of guys with excellent long term confirmed records. These opinions come primarily from other internet sites and out of respect for the proprietors of this one I shall not divulge them. Today's pick from these sources is over 50.5 for the Cincy Temple game tonight.

Just a little explanation on gambling strategy. By this time of year don't touch the over-unders unless your opinion comes from highly competent sources who crunch a great many variables into a data base and then prove their numbers are accurate with a track record of winning over a statistically significant number of games. The quant bettors especially on the over unders kick the crap out of the feel bettors (that's you and me) after game four because they have enough data to be accurate. Get your money out of any book that charges 10% and into Pinnacle 6% or 5dimes 5%. If you are out of the United States the exchanges are the only way to go because they charge only 1% to place bettors on opposite sides together. Good luck everybody, the books are greedy a-holes, I'm on your side
