this is one of my games this weekend.. i think clemson going to cover the 14.5. sean glennon is gone. i don't know how NC st offense going to keep up with the points clemson going to score. clemson has an improved defense from last year.. clemson BIG!! i expect the spread to go up

CLEM -14.  NCST offense does not have the personnel to be effective against an improved CLEM defense.    CLEM offense will score early and often as they did last year vs NCST defense.

Admittedly, I don't know much about either team besides the obvious but I do know how ranked teams fair on the road as heavy chalk Thursdays.

"think twice about backing the Tigers as road favorites in this affair, as they’ve lost nine of 11 when featured on ESPN Thursday Night games, but seven of those losses have come against ranked foes."

The Wolfpack have proven victorious against a Top 10 team at home in each of the previous two seasons, but this team is very young heading into Week 4 of the 2013 college football campaign.

I'll look at this closer but these were my 1st 2 thoughts when I saw the heavy lean on Clemson early AND the line moving DOWN. Hmmm...

The line should be Clemson -17 but you get a break laying only 14. That said I still think it's to much to lay on the road. I like NC St getting points.

Predicted score Clemson 31....NC St. 23

i don't see Clemson scoring less then 40 points. NC st struggle with Richmond last time they played. this spread line reminds me of when Clemson played wake forest Thursday night last year... they rolled WF in a "showcase" game and I think it follow suits this year

Clemson lost their #2 WR Peake for the year.  Won't matter.  NCSU won't be able to keep up here.  Don't be fooled by NCSU winning here two years ago...Clemmers large in this one.

Everyone calling for a Clemson BLOWOUT.  Clemson on the Road.  HUGE majority of bettors on Clemson yet the line is going down.

Don't you guys ever learn?

THIS GAME WILL BE A BLOODBATH

Well said Soas - we heard the exact same thing when Texas went to Provo.

I think this game is potential trouble for Clemson and I want no part of either side.  Anything that looks too easy, generally is.

Where do you see the line going down?
I see it opening around 9 or 10 and now it's 14.5.

Clemson has an amazing team this year, Taj Boyd is unreal at the qb position and these 2 teams scorched the scoreboard in there meeting last year however Clemson has improved a lot on the defensive side of the ball, sure they let georgia score 30+ but the bulldogs have a great offense and it doesn't matter who coaches nc st now clemson will be 2 much to deal with in this one. NcSt light up a weak LtTech team and barely escaped a weak richmond team. Clemson will be too hot to handle for NcSt they will win by a minimum of 3 tds here. Clemson -13.5 *5 units* GL to all

The way people talk about this match-up you would think that there games are always close which is just not true at all. YES N.C. State has cover the spread 4 out of 6 the past 6 years. The thing I have notice that stuck out to me in the past 6 years Clemson has won 5 out of 6 of the matchups. Every game except for two (Clemson won by 1 and NCST won outright), Clemson have beaten NCST by 14 points or more. The spread is -13.5 or -14 depending where your getting the line from. Give me Clemson Large !!!!!

Yup, the book I used the line opened at 13 and now its up tom 14.5!  I just don't see NC State keeping up, but I could be wrong?
