This game scares meIf my VOLS defense can hold them to about 35pts.Then VOLS will cover. If the Ducks score more than 45pts.Then the Ducks will cover.Hate to say it but VOLS have no chance at winning this gameJust hope to keep it close.FYI-Worley probably gets the hook before this game is over. His arm just isnt strong enough for anything over 35 yards.Just my 2 cents worth.GLEout

Ducks will blow a weak TN defense up this weak.  No chance for TN to win, and only a sloppy game with turnovers will keep them from covering 25 points.  I think Oregon goes over 50, UT will be lucky to get to 20.

Oregon     52        Tenn.     17

I really just like taking this large number against an sec team ....  you don't see any sec team getting this many points ...not often anyway ..bol

C'mon guys why take you chances on the points, while you can just pick the OVER which what I will be doing. Oregon is home so that is almost automatic 49 points and Tenn i think can at least score 21 to 28 points. GIVE ME THE OVER !!! Instead of me being undecided about Tenn covering for the game or Oregon covering a 25 point spread vs a SEC team. When you are undecided pick the O/U

Why take chances on the pts?  Nothing is gauranteed, this is all left to chance.  I think until Oregon shows they can't cover the spread, you keep picking them to cover the spread, it probably won't be until halfway through the season before they fail to cover the spread.  Tennessee almost slipped to Western Kentucky, if it weren't for the half a dozen or so turnovers they very well may have lost that game outright, Oregon will wipe the floor with them.

Last year Oregon at home score more than 42 points at home, in every game except vs Stanford (last year had a very good defense). Oregon will score at least 42 to 49 points. All I need is Tenn to score to score is 21 points, seriously I can see Tenn scoring at least 21 points in a 4 quarter game. Unless the best bet my just be betting Oregon Team Total Points.

This is the game of the week, month, maybe the year, for the over.  I could go on about stats but I think only one really hits the target: Tennessee gave up 5 yards per carry to WKU last weekend, and while I respect the Hilltoppers for their play in the last few years it isn't even close to caliper of offense that Oregon can bring.  This is a statement game for Oregon who has lost to 2 SEC teams in consecutive years, including Tenn in 2010.  Oregon scores early and often in this one, and if Tennessee manages 17 points the game total hits.  Going to Vegas to play it big. GL y'all.

Pretty bad SEC team for the last several years so this is like picking on a cripple.  TN's defense last year was terrible so it is hard to believe they will get that much better with a new coach and some HS recruits, it will take 2-3 years.  Vols also lost the QB and receivers that gave them some offense last season so they are defenseless there as well.  The up tempo, spread offense Jones has put in as coach may help him in the SEC where they don't see it as much but Oregon is the experts at it and they see it every day.  The only reason the Ducks might not cover is if they pull the starters too early in a no-contest game or turn it over 3+ times.  Sticking with my earlier call for the Ducks to cover.

just put your SEC bias aside...its not going to happen...Oregon is going to score early and often and won't even think about slowing down until they hit 50.    in addition, Oregon's D is improved.

Oregon 52

Tenn 17

Duck season in tennessee the last time the vols had kiffin and we all know how good he is. I think the vols have played a little better teams so far than the ducks have.Butch has done all the right things so far. And if the vols can score first and put ducks on there heels where they have not been very much they have a shot.

the line is currently 27.5, I will purchase .5 and take tennessee +28, the vols are much improved from the last couple of years, they have a solid D and their offence is above average, a 4 td dog, those lines are for a decent mid major team vs the elite, tennesse is getting no respect right now, TENNESSEE +28- medium play

As if TN's defense didn't have enough problems coming into this game, they just announced their starting DE will not be with the team for Oregon due to suspension for money grabbing controversy.  Now an inexperienced end will try to handle that option.  Someone said above TN's defense was much improved.......BS.  This was the worst Vol defense in history of the school last year, they didn't get that much better, many of them are the same players with more practice time.  The Duck offense isn't one to play around with.  They have played Austin Peay, step above HS team, and WKU, who had six turnovers to hand TN the game (five of those turnovers came in a six play span, that might be a record.)  How do you know they are better based on those two games?  Now they are entering a killer's row part of their schedule and could easily lose all of the next five games.

Still calling it:      Oregon    52      TN     17      Increasing to 4 unit play

oregon has scored 17 td's this season.  15 of them in under 2 minutes. this means UT will have plenty of opportunties to score. Over is the play here

QUOTEThis TN team is far from "much improved". Although the defense returns 8 starters from a year ago that was the worst TN defense in the history of TN. They will be better this year by default, but they do not have any quality depth, and cannot muster a pass rush. On the offensive side of the ball the lost key players (WR and QB) and are left with talented but no experience WR and an Average QB at best. They have a beast of an offensive line again avg QBs. For this game to go over you will need 60 from Oregon. That very well could happen as this TN cannot match up against this Oregon team.  Good luck.

I was laying off wagering on Oregon due to Coach Kelly's departure. I wanted to see how well they do without him.

Taking a chance here.

Oregon at the half -15

Aloha and good luck to all
