#4 Posted: 12/17/2012 6:49:15 PM Cincinnati - 34 Duke - 30
Blue Devils +7 over 58.5
Cutcliffe 4-1 su in bowl games. Good enough for me. I'll take the Devils and the 7 points. Playing a fairly tough acc schedule + Stanford has this veteran club loaded for bear.
Duke - Over |

#5 Posted: 12/25/2012 9:51:03 PM The Cincy coaching situation is in total disarray. They clearly have superior talent to Duke but Duke will be highly motivated in one of their rare visits to a bowl game. My numbers make this game 38 - 21 Cincy but that was based on regular season stats and does not account for the recent coaching change. Tuberville is a joke coach and the Cincy players know they are getting a used car salesman to run their program. I can't take Duke due to to the talent differential with Cincy and I can't take any team with a coaching change like what is going on at Cincy. Gotta pass this one.

#6 Posted: 12/26/2012 10:43:36 PM I agree that Duke will be highly motivated.Just how much this will turn into points worries me.They've given up 228 points in their last 5.Cincy has given up 71.This year, defense has been winning the bowls.I'm strong on Cincy.

#12 Posted: 12/27/2012 12:03:20 PM this is one of those lines that is too good to be true, even at 9... considering Duke lost by 37 to Stanford, 21 to VT, 41 to Florida State, 36 to Clemson and 18 to GT…. and their only win against a team over .500 was by 3 vs a schizo UNC team.
It's tough to even take 9 points on a team that was 1-6 vs. .500 or better teams and had an average margin of -22.4
Leaning towards a strong play on Cincy at anything under 10. |

#13 Posted: 12/27/2012 3:02:45 PM I see this as a home game for Duke and the over is like 5-1 at home the last six games. Over 62.

#14 Posted: 12/27/2012 3:56:29 PM Update on the Duke CIncy game - lots of crazy line action on this game but as of right now ( 2 hours before kick off ), the game looks like a solid play on Duke. I have consensus indicators favoring Duke, I have my money line sharp / square book ratio favoring Duke and my recently updated score predictor shows Cincy by a 34 - 31 score, well within the current 8.5 point spread. I was going to pass this game but based on the current late steam on Duke plus the above indicators, I am going to make a 1 unit play on Duke at plus 8.5 ( maybe 9 if I can find one )

Sure pal, this stuff is easy,. All ya gotta do is bet on DD favorites in bowl games and sit back and let the money roll in. Be my guest and keep posting your stuff so we can put your picks on our possible fade list

#16 Posted: 12/27/2012 4:45:19 PM Cincy's run offense against Duke's passing attack.
Which D will stop the others offensive attack?
Which team is coming into this game with hopes of a big win?
Answer:Duke, with their passing attack, will play with a lead, and will be
tough for Cincy to catch Duke with more of a run game then passing game.
Taking Duke plus the points |

#19 Posted: 12/27/2012 5:26:03 PM I like the Blue Devils here. Too many coaching issues with Cincy...I think Duke shows up and keeps it within the number. Oh yea, 65% of the public on Cincy makes me like it even more.
Duke +9.5

#25 Posted: 12/27/2012 7:13:15 PM Big East football does not even deserve to exist, what an embarrasment of a conference. The collection of 4-way first place tied teams (Cinci, Rutgers, Louisville and Syracuse) couldn't finish in the top half of any other BCS conference, with the possible exception of the ACC, which also sucks. Blow the whole conferenc up and do not recreate it given everyone is leaving for basketball, just let it die |
