Not sure what Toledo team's gonna show up for this one

They've already lost the MAC to N ILL...They seem to look good for the Little Ceasers Bowl in Detroit on boxing day...Will they really go all out for this one vs Akron?

If Dalton Williams throws 4 picks in this one like he did in the Umass game last week this one could be over quick.....

Plus if Fluellen is out for Toledo there goes one of your best RB's...& Toledo has only covered a spread this high once in 10 games vs C Mich

Akron vs. Toledo a HUGH Play!

With Toledo giving up 19 points, they appear to be a "free money" bet.

True, Akron 1-10 straight up!  But Akron (4-1 ATS on the road) covers large point spreads on the road! They covered +18.5, +24, +31.5 and even covered a +18.5 in a 6-point battle at Ohio! (L 28-34).

Both defenses match up almost dead-even, and Toledo's
key RB Fluellen (ankle injury last Thursday) is questionable for Tuesday!

Must run full speed ahead with Akron with this one, win or lose!  I consider this one to be a major play, with a 19+ point head start!

However, must "gear up" for the usual pain and agony with all road teams!

Have learned that many college road teams find it extremely difficult to score a sufficient amount of points to cover the point spreadEspecially when they only have 7 to 10 points to work with.

And, many road teams find it impossible to stop home teams from constantly marching down the field and scoring more points!  Very frustrating when we have the road team!

But will trust Akron QB Dalton Williams (3335 YDs and 25 TDs) to be more than capable of matching points with Toledo's Terrance Owens...and possibly winning this one outright!

Will try to use this major play to accumulate more ammunition, for Saturday's upcoming war against Air Force!

Akron plus 19 points vs. Toledo!

Will post analysis on Fresno St. vs. Air Force by tomorrow night...and Gold Sheet's calls on both of these games.

I agree with most of what you're saying....but no way in hell Akron wins this game...you must be drinking the Christmas eggnog early if you thin Akron wins this one

Akron has NEVER COVERED a spread this high on the road in the last 9 years. The Zips season was over a long ,long time ago! The Rocket fans expect them to clobber Akron, and Fluellen or not, they'll make out just fine.

TOLEDO  -   18.5

Lol where does vue get his info? Akron has covered this high a spread or better on the road in the past two weeks let alone nine years. Hah they've even done it atleast three times this year.

Well, lets see. Tol. back is hurt, will they risk his injury futher, well I don't think so unless, they may send him in in the second half if they need to. I just don't see them risking futher damage. Even though Akron has (1) win they have been very capable of winning more, they are that close. I see them covering this spread but may end up short but they can win this out right with Tol. Fluellen out of the line up. This will change the game dramatically for Toledo. That will put lots of pressure on the QB, not good changes to the offense and on the road. Akron will be up for this game at home. Pt. for me in this one. I did like the over a bunch but with Fluellen out that is out the window for now. I'm takeing the points very Large here. Now these are just my thoughts.

I'm going with Vue with this. He's hot right now n even pick Pitt +3.5 vs Ravens.

Small play on Toledo as its only Tuesday. Good luck all!!

You may wanna double check your research Vue, Akron has gotten 18.5+ on the road 4 times this year and has covered every one of those games. I am by no means saying take Akron and the points. This is a no play. GL though.

Do you ever think before you talk??? Akron went into Tenn. a +31.5 underdog and covered...so be careful, I like The Rockets but may wait til half time...

It's hard to put money on a team that lost to umass last wk. I bet on umass because i thought they where hungry for there first win and the zips suck. Doesn't toledo have anyone else who can run the ball. Some of the credit has to be given to the off. line so i just think if they have someone who can run it at all toledo has chance to cover. giving 19 pts is alot.If anyone out there knows who toledo's backup running back is please post it. still on the fence.

I'm blaming no one but I think the Gold Sheet is not trustworthy! Just IMO!

Now back to the game! Akron is 4:1 ATS on the road against the hardest opponent in their schedule. While Toledo is a rushing team with 2nd highest rushing TD is the QB himself! Since Fluellen is out, Toledo is not gonna cover. Yes they will win the game but not covering the spread.

Taking the point under with the reverse!

GLTA!!!

Toledo qb is a boring to watch piece of trash.  That guy kill too much clock.  I don't have faith in Akron but I would take anyone against Toledo with that spread.

No reason for toledo to be up for this game. They have been flat for few weeks now. Akron wants to end on a high note. Toledo bowl outcome wont change much with a win. Tol has not hit over 30pts in like a month and when they did it was against really bad teams. Hey wait a minute.....nah who cares.  Hello... toledo ranked almost last in country defending the pass. Akron throws the hell out of the ball. Too much stock put on akron only winning one game. akron and und for the barely numeral because im waiting for the superlarge this weekend!!!!!

How's this for insight. I played high school football in Akron, IA and in 2002 we went 13-0 and won the state championship as the smallest school in our division. So my nostalgic pick of the week will be on the Zips (We were the Westerners, so I don't know which name is worse)

Zips - Under
