#2 Posted: 10/8/2012 1:12:56 PM My early thought is S Carolina by a TD. Night time in Tiger stadium is always tough for a visitor, but the Tigers will struggle running the ball in my opinion. Just too much pressure on the young Metternberger in a big game like this. But being at home, could make this an interesting one. |

Night time in "Deaf Valley" is tough for the visiting team, but when you can't run the ball or protect your young QB how you going to keep up with USC, special teams? I'll say it once again, LSU has been exposed, and it was before they went down to the swamp!
Better get it while you can ! LSU will be the underdog just before game time or earlier, IMO! Unless of course you think the Tigers plus a point or 2 can cover.

#5 Posted: 10/8/2012 4:46:59 PM LSwho? This team is overrated and Les Miles is a terrible game manager in the close matchups. South Carolina is the real deal this year and they are picking up speed. |

#8 Posted: 10/9/2012 4:09:40 PM I don't necessarily disagree BUT when everyone is on one side I tend to think the other must have merit. That being said I have to be honest and admit I already took S.C.

#9 Posted: 10/9/2012 6:39:54 PM I have kept waiting for the "real" LSU to show up, I have now decided there is no real LSU this season. Thought they could run the ball against Florida but 2 FGs? Are you kidding? I know LSU is at home, and that gives them around 5 points to me (Death Valley tougher than most), but I wouldn't take them WITH a FG, much less giving one. LSU has one TD in 2 games against decent defenses (Florida & Auburn).
SC defensive front 7 shut down a really good Georgia offense by blowing up the OL, LSU may have a better OL but they don't have any passing threat to keep the DBs from cheating up. SC's offense isn't great either but I think they move the ball enough with Spurrier calling plays to win this game by 7+. Haven't studied the Over/under yet but this should be a low scoring game, with both defenses better than the offenses.
SC +2 1/2 3 unit play Leaning toward an under. |

#11 Posted: 10/10/2012 8:00:00 AM LSU.. S. Carolina has one game a year that they blow.. This is it.. LSU's defense will be the key to them winning.. Whether it be a key turnover or a defensive score.. |

#16 Posted: 10/10/2012 11:03:24 PM I was born and raised in Richland County, South Carolina; although I live in BIG Blue land now, I will always bleed garnet and black. I cashed nicely in correctly picking my Cocks and the Total last week at home against them boys from Athens, however going into the toughest venue in the country (Autzen Stadium ain’t nothing compared to playing in front of 100K die heart drunken Cajuns) with the Tigers coming off a tough road loss and putting forth the same type effort as last week is a WHOLE different "animule" AND a lot to ask of them boys from THE GREAT State of South Carolina.
With that said, put me down for THE Louisiana State University minus less than a field goal at the house for Nickel Alex Trebek please. Note: I also like Over the Total but no play. Thanks! |

#17 Posted: 10/11/2012 2:55:03 PM Last week wasn't the first week of the season. These teams have shown what they are about. LSU lost to a 1 dimensional Florida team. They barely nipped Auburn as a 21 pt favorite.
South Carolina has been beating teams soundly and covering, on the road as well.
This line is BEGGING for LSU money. South Carolina is the play. |

#20 Posted: 10/12/2012 11:46:02 AM LSU actually had more yards at the half in Florida than the Gators did.
LSU is 30-1 in night games at home during Coach Les Miles tenure.
2 of the best defenses in all of college football.....a game that can go either way......and I question how SCAR will fare in a tough road environment because they barely beat the Commodores when they had to travel to Vandy.
Phil Steele calls for it. ThinICE Sports, Inc. believes it.
