Just went to 4.5 at my book.  I'm still stumped.  Maybe it's bc West Virginia is traveling down to Texas two weeks in a row...let down after beating the Horns.....I don't know.

I've bet on WV twice when it was at 4......don't see any way Tech can keep it close.  The weather is supposed to be nice...Geno Smith and company should roll.  Tech's D was exposed last week vs OU in Lubbock.....I could see this line easily going over 7 by kickoff.

I'm a big fan of fading the public, and usually do, but just can't do it here.....I think Vegas has this one wrong...for once!?  (of course we all know what that means....  )

West Virginia -4 (three units)
GL to all!!

maybe its because WVU has no D, and the books are expecting a shootout...

with the BCS coming out on Sunday,I just don't see Holgerson letting off the pedal...there is too much at stake.

with that being said, this is a no play for me..i have several others matchups that i like better...

I have this game 56-42 West Virginia because of WVa's lack of D but I think this line is short because the back door is always open in every game.  Also the D did take a pounding from the running game of Texas they could be a little extra sore.

I understand that WV has a porous D, but damn this line is low. Can TT really score THAT much on WV? Seems fishy to me, no play...for now.

Looks too easy but I will take the bait, if OU can score that much against TT, West By God will roll over that defense.  TT will get their points too but they cannot keep up with Smith and Company.  I think WVA wins by 2+TDs.   4 unit play

WVU -4 is the play here. TT couldn't stop Oklahoma and WVU is more explosive.  TT does have a good defense but I not think they have the offense to stay with WVU

WVA making second straight road trip to Texas against a team they have no particular interest in playing due to lack of a history and no rivalry at all.  WVU  left a  lot on the field in Austin and were lucky to get out with a win.  I look for a flat first half by WV and look for a good TTU offense to jump on them early in Lubbock.  TTU embarrassed again at home under Tuberville ( this time by OU ) but OU was playing with revenge from last year's defeat in Norman by TTU.  I expect something of a bounceback by Tech but Tuberville is totally unreliable in this spot so I am not making this a big play. Small play on Tech mainly as a situational play and more of a play against WVU.

I doubt it.  I live in Lubbock and don't see any possible way Tech even hangs with WV.

this line is low because this TT team isnt a team to b overlooked and after coming off a tough physical game at texas last week think the book makers r just trying to make  money cause of the game last wk i still like WVUn this one best of luck to all

Smitt12,

I think 12 is the number becuase of the back to back flights into Texas but your premise is dead on…  I watched Texas Tech last week get taken to the wood shed by Oklahoma and outside of having 19 good D1 receivers on their roster, I wasn’t impressed at all (number one Total defense in the country – yea right).  This line screams the Wise Men in Vegas are soliciting WVU dollars, but unless the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner is on the take, I just don’t see the wheels coming off the WVU bus in Lubbock, Texas.

With that said, put me down for West Virginia minus the field goal and the hook for a Nickel AND Over the Total for a dime Alex Trebek please.  Thanks!

Thats right holt son! This team reminds me a lot of auburn when they had cam "gimme the cash" newton. That team gave up tons of points and had all kinds of trick lines but all they did was go 10-4 ATS that year. WVIRG and OV for the large!!! Bet till wheels fall off which probably wont happen till november

Need some insight about Texas Tech. Are the Red Raiders the kind of team that'll go on long, 4-6 minute methodical drives (like Alabama) before scoring (TD or FG) or punting? Or are they the quick passing kind of team.

They have good numbers defensively but they played who? NW State, NM, Texas State and Iowa State (who averages 27 ppg and allows 16).

Secondly, we've seen TTU go on a major letdown last year against Iowa State after beating OU. Can this happen to WVU ?

Scary game to choose a side on. WVU can score points like crazy and I was stupid to choose the under in last weeks WVU/Texas game. But as much and as quickly WVU can score their defense let's opponents do the same. I have a very funny gut feeling TTU pulls out an upset in this one or at least keep it within a field goal.

Not choosing a side on this one but might go with the over.

Here is the reasoning... Tech has an explosive offense when faced against poor defenses. OU has a good d and exposed Doege's arm speed. He just doesn't have a gun. WVU will likely not be able to do the same so the Tech offense should be running on all cylinders. Texas last week played it conservative by not letting Ash loose and it cost them. Tech will not do the same. Expect this to be another back and forth game with the home team possibly having the edge.
