Except he's not. He's a freshman. That may not mean anything at most schools but the academies have athletes they develope over time, not blue chippers coming out of high school..

The defense is beat up and young, Navy's lines are undersized.

The primary question is can the ND defense stop the option enough to get 3 scores up? I don't think Navy can stop the Irish offense especially after the "ND quit" BS. I'll just watch.

There is a lot of turmoil with the coach and the players that he didn't recruit.  I don't know who will win this game but there is problems here.

Backing the Midshipman in this game has been very profitable in recent history. Navy is 13-5 as a road dog L4 seasons while Notre Dame is a cool 4-12-3 as a home favorite. Over the last 3Y the Irish are 0-4 as a DD favorite while the Middies are 4-0 as DD dogs, Navy is also 5-1 as DD dogs vs the Irish the last 10Y. The Midshipman are 10-0 ATS their L10 trips to South Bend including outright wins the last 2 times around. Some wildcards beyond the trends though, Navy's starting QB out, the back up has some experience but how will he handle the atmosphere under The Golden Dome?  The Irish should be motivated comig off the big loss to SC and with revenge for the last 2 home losses to Navy. But the biggest wildcard is Brian Kelly. I think he sees his job slipping away and his last attempt at motivation (if you can call it that) is the act of a desperate man. If the Irish face some adversity today it may blow up in his face. Should be a high scoring game as both teams are top heavy on the offensive side of the ball. Navy scores enough to keep it within 3 TDs. As for Irish fans and Brian Kelly my heart goes out to you because "These are the Days of our Lives" Navy +22 Glta!
