I follow this team pretty heavily. The true freshmen that are playing are young and talented but they were making freshmen mistakes early this season. The veterans aren't as talented and were prone to getting out of position and they didn't have the speed to recover. The loss to Southern Miss and near loss to Idaho, were directly caused by missed assignments, bone-head mistakes and several bad luck TOs. You could see the talent edge for the Cavaliers, they just kept shooting themselves in the foot.
I really feel like the GT win gave them an enormous amount of confidence and I think they may have turned the corner with this win. Watch out for this team the rest of the season, they have some dangerous playmakers on offense that are starting to gain confidence and the OL has 3 potential NFL players in Moses, Pastzor and Aboushi. The OL is beastly and NCST's DL is banged up. They just announced that several defensive starters who were injured won't be back for the rest of the season!
I think this will be an easy cover at home for Virginia on a beautiful sunny day with a very rowdy crowd, that is excited by last week's win and the possibilities of a good season. They are 4-2 and they still have NCST, Duke and Maryland left to play. Cavs roll by 14+.
