The "Stash" may have finally got it together. After years of great recruiting and not so great results. Pitt should take care of business Notre Dame may be over rated but when arent they.

I know this sounds crazy but ND is the play of the week. Almost impossible to think they cover against Pitt which is exactly why they will.

ND couldn't stop Navy's run offense and I don't think they will be able to stop Lewis.

This is the best O that Pitt has faced this season.

Navy was given that game bc of multiple turnovers in the red zone by ND.

Pitt's secondary is the worst part of their very good D. I think ND will give them a game with two NFL receivers and an NFL QB going up against that secondary.

27-23 Pitt.

My mistake. Pitt's secondary is very good, one of the best in the Big East.

Will layoff this one. ND aren't as bad as the Navy loss made them look.

Navy was the call last week, but this one is different.  ND is overrated as usual and proved it last week, ending any chance for the BCS.  Pitt wins this one by more than a touchdown.

You were right the first time, PITT secondary is the weak point of the D.  The numbers look good because they haven't played anybody the schedules backloaded, but both Berry and Chappel are under 5'9 and will struggle to cover ND WR's.  Taking ND in a 7 pt teaser.

I have ND in two bets already one unit +7 and another +14 in a teaser with Iowa +24 and Northwestern +12.   Pitt is good this year but playing in the Big East let's not start thinking they are a true top ten team.  ND took a tough loss last week and almost pulled it out.  They won't have to stop a well-executed option this week.

Pitt may win but ND will surely keep it close if not win outright.  Last year's game went into OT and the teams are again not that far apart -- they are both improved somewhat over last year.   Pitt has WVU and Cinci after ND and conceivably could lose all three.

Pitts one loss came to a N.C State team who has an accurate qb and likes to spread the ball around. So many people have lost money betting the chalk with n.d. but i'm seeing some value here on a saturday night with the world expecting nothing out of n.d and  pitt as the top ten favorite has alot to lose a.k.a pressure...the stache does not like pressure...3 point game either way. ND ...Lip

This might be closer than I think it will be, but I have a hard time imagining Pitt winning by less than a TD

lip - "world expecting nothing out of notre dame"?  N.D. is 1 of the biggest public teams in the country and of all times.. and you say they expect nothing.... public always sides with N.D. - people who know something about betting are the ones who keep the line in check.....

ND last one of the largest alumni thruout US thats why they get pounded every week every yr. Like Sharp said public always sides. Other teams with that same exposure Dallas, Cubs, Lakers

being from NY i think i know a couple of n.d. fans to say the least. Yes the world...ND is either loved or hated..(I'm a miami fan so guess how i feel) all notre dame fans that i know have given up and are fed up for the last decade so to say the least the public is not betting notre dame vs Pitt...trust me. Your arguement is right most of the time with nd and their lack a value vs lesser teams laying double digit chalk but the world will be betting against nd saturday night on november 14, 2009. you can argue "public team" every other week and you probably will be right but nd alumni will be betting against nd sat night. People who know something about betting...lol if you knew who i was you would understand that betting is my life so i have kind of a grasp on what goes on in the betting world....and i do see your post and like many of your picks so im not saying anything bad but for one saturday in november Pitt is the public side not notre dame...whether ND covers is not the arguement...public on Pitt..I'm on ND ..Lip

Lip - Pitt is the public side... 60% - 40% or so... but if not Notre Dame, this would be a  80% - 20% or 90% - 10%.... but I know what you saying... holler at me... Sharp
