Something is definitely wrong with this line. Not sure if the lines-maker miss all of Tulsa's game this year or not, but Houston should be favored by at least 14 in this game.
Tulsa's defense sucks, and they are more of a dink-and-dunk team this year.

Very fishy line Does Houston have any major injuries? They should be able to outscore Tulsa by at least 10 points, but -2.5 seems too easy. More research needed .

Trap game? Same as last year, remember Tulsa -2 ? Final Score Houston 70 Tulsa 35.. Tulsa had 7 turnovers! Almost makes me think this series is fixed.... This will be a huge public play on Houston and the line is already falling instead of rising.... Sharp

Oh my... All you guys going to take Houston I would be very careful of this game. You will not be happy after the game taking Houston. Wow can't believe my eyes, Houston only opened at -3 and now down to -1.5 with over 95% on them. All I can say is WOW!

I know, this line if fishy, but I don't want to make a decision base on fishy lines. I need some sort of logical explanations, to take a team like Tulsa.
Tulsa's QB Kinne cannot stretch the field, their coach is not good, they lost their OC from the past few years(I believe he's at Auburn now), they use alot of screen passes that just doesn't work, their gadget plays are just as ridiculous, they have no sense of urgency when they're losing, bad clock management, their defense is not good, they are capable of burning all their timeouts in the 1st quarter.
Only thing I can see positive for this team, is that they're playing at home, which doesn't mean much this season and they have alot of talented WR on the team, but Kinne is not great at getting them the ball.
In the past, Tulsa was known for their explosive offense, lead by a very good QB, capable of striking from anywhere on the field. This year, most of their plays are less then 20yds.
I'm gonna have to follow the logical path here, and take Houston. If this is a sucka bet, then so be it.

This is not the Tulsa of years gone by.This is the Tulsa that just lost to SMU,favored to beat UTEP by 9 and lost by 7,kept it close with Boise st. after recovering 2 fumbles and pushed the line against Rice.Cougs are 4-0 ATS after the wakeup loss against UTEP.No major position injuries to report on either side and looks like perfect football weather.Take the Cougs and keep going.

Let me give out a few stats and it's not that crazy now that I've looked at it... Talking Conference USA: Houston #1 Offense... Tulsa #1 Defense Houston Defense (between 10-last in conference) Tulsa #2 Offense... Conference Rival.... revenge game for a 70-30 thumping... So publics view might be skewed until you look at these #'s..... and I haven't made a decision either way... Sharp

Tulsa mite have the worst pass defense that i have watched all year so for the line to swing from a dog to a favorite vs maybe the most pass proficient offense in the land is yes fishy. You can throw any stat you want at me i had Tulsa plus the points vs boise and i won but i felt boise could score through the air as long as there was no penalties nor drops at will. Tulsa has to cover this game it makes absolutely no sense. Tulsa will be able to move the ball with ease but something is wrong tulsa has to be the right side....has to be LIP

Umm...am I missing something here? Do you guys not see that Houston has a worse defense (by far) than Tulsa? Houston gives up 461 yards per game, good for 114th in the country! lip, you say Tulsa might have the worst pass defense that you have watched all year...you must not have watched a Houston game because their pass D actually ranks lower than Tulsa's. That, and they give up 222 rushing yards a friggin game! I mean come on. Tulsa offense runs for 154 a game. Put 2 and 2 together, and Tulsa should be running all over Houston, which keeps Keenum off the field.
I'm not touching this game now that Tulsa is the fav, but all you have to do is look at the stats and you can see why this line only opened at -3 for Houston.

This post has some of the most intelligent, thought out comments i have read for any game, both sides make excellent points! I wish every game thread could have such justified points instead of peoples asanine opinions with no foundation whatsoever!....I;m thinking its probably best to lay off this one..GL

couldnt be more confused by this line. the numbers simply point to the fact that this is going to be a track meet, and in the end houston will be ahead. i will be stunned if its not something like 45-35 houston

Tulsa is a mess. I don't get this line. Tulsa's QB got a concussion last week yet is slated to start this game. SMU had a freshman QB make his 1st start vs Tulsa and threw for 350 + yards last week. They have O-line issues. Their Guru OC left in the off season which has seriously hurt their offensive creativity. Other than a very lucky back door cover against Boise, Tulsa has been awful lately losing SU while they were favored against SMU & UTEP. I'm not buying the revenge angle. I can understand Oregon feeling all gitty and losing to Stanford. However Tulsa Stinks. HOUSTON WINS BIG!
