#6 Posted: 11/2/2009 3:44:22 PM This season reminds me of the one back in I think 03 or 04 when Virginia Tech got all the way up to number 3 (overrated as usual) then went up to Morgantown got waxed and I think they lost like every game the rest of the season except for maybe one.
Now they have lost to Georgia Tech and North Carolina. Two teams they definitely should beat if they are a top ten team which they are not.
This team has lost its confidence. The offensive line is not providing the push needed and the defense is probably the worst I have seen since that 03 or 04 year. It was the same team that played California in the insightbowl and gave up like 51 points.
Bud Foster has only made one change on defense and that is at LB. I am sure he would like to make more but he doen't have much else to worth with.
They play at ECU, Maryland and Virgina on the road. I bet they lose two of those three games. They have NC State at home. Wouldn't be surprised if they lost that one as well.
Could end up 6 and 6. But will probably finish 7 and 5.
They have some talented guys but too many missing pieces. Especially up front on that defensive line.
I will gladly take the 12 points with ECU at home. Christmas comes early I guess. |

Agreed, VTech do have a better O and D, and like you said, emotion does contribute in every contest.
Tech to cover here.

#11 Posted: 11/3/2009 10:53:17 PM I have seen these 2 teams play my beloved Marshall Thundering Herd this yr. First on the road at Blacksburg. MU had thier @$$ handed to them. And then ECU at home with ECU winning by 4 in a game that was nip and tuck right up til the end. ECU is not a explosive team in any way. Pinkney has not been the same since injuries sidelined him a year ago. I would be VERY surprised to see them lay up more than 17 points and against VT. VT has not played well lately, but I think they come together realizing thier season could well be on the line. Bottom line. VT rights the ship here, and gets back on course. VT-31 ECU 17 |

#13 Posted: 11/4/2009 12:51:12 AM VT lost 2 games in a row, 1 of them was last Thursday night at home to NC, this week I look for them to bounce back and win big on Thursday night on the road.
VT - 11.5

I'm pretty sure Billy Walters already placed his bets on this game (and yes, for Vtech) So I wouldn't expect to see more (late) line movement. He went 2-0 on the BG game last night, but I heard he is about a 60% player...so does he lose on this game now ?? Personally TEASING (Temple -10 / ECU +20) on Thursday night. We'll just see how good Billy really is I guess.....

#19 Posted: 11/4/2009 1:31:51 PM I would be interested in seeing if there is a big deposit in that Buffalo punter's bank account too, after last nights game ....courtesy of Billy Walters.

#22 Posted: 11/4/2009 3:25:16 PM Aloha big daddy!
Our starting C is out with a pretty messed up M.C.L. That will not help our run-blocking. The new C (Via) is a nice pass-blocker; yet he is very lean (about 280 lbs on a 6`7`` frame). We are ECU's super bowl, world series and Heavyweight title fight all rolled into one. ECU is better with the Lindsay kid back.
I was thinking VT+3 or so for an opening line. I'm loving this upward movement. I can not climb high enough for me.

Billy a 60% winner? He is the best sports bettor in the history of sports betting. Just google him...... He moves lines, and creates panics in the sportsbooks out here.
Billy is on Va Tech at 11.5, and Temple at 14.5.
Does he win every single game? No....but I ran the win/loss on his runner at our book and he is up over $100,000 for the year with a 5 dime max on sides, and 1 dime max on totals.
His shit is ridiculous, and has made me lots of money......

I forgot to mention that his runner being up over $100,000 doesn't include the $77,000 he made in bets yesterday. Billy is a self made multi millionaire solely off sports betting. Fading Billy's picks is a complete disaster and will get you nowhere. I am giving out information that TRUMPS every sports handicapper that sells their picks. They would pay for Billy's picks.....
I could come on here and give Billy's pick as my own for every game he bets and look like the sharpest guy on this forum. But that isn't my goal, we are all here to win money. I just let you guys know what he is betting.......
