Tulane is horrid.  Lost 3 games at home by more than 20..  including last week to Marsh.(10-31).  I think this spread is way too low, it should be more than 25.  Take Houston before the line goes up.  I dont understand how Houston fell out of the top 25 with one loss.  They still beat OkSt and TexTech.
 
Prediction Houston 48 - Tulane 10.  (similar to what BYU did to them at home 3-54)

Houston scores at will against tulane. Houston wins by 4+ td's.

yes UH can score at will, but as the UTEP disaster underscored, does Cougar High have a D that can keep the Green Wave in check?

Tulane averages 17 points a game so far this year, and they have only scored more than that in one game - against McNeese State. Granted, Houston is 111th nationally in total defense, but Tulane is 89th. The question for me is who has the firepower to exploit a bad defense, Houston or Tulane? Given that Houston averages 40 a game, I'll take the Cougars and give the 17.

The line has dropped 2.5 points since open. I wonder why?

I really don't wanna look into much, bc I cant see this as too good to be true.

Houston Offense can score, everybody knows that. Tulane is a middle school...not even a high school and has almost negative offense.

As long as houston has ppl on the field they continue to dominate Tulane

I'll lock in the -17 now. BOL

The UTEP game was just one of those flukey games.  It happens w/ college freshman/sophmores which makes up about 80% of UH's roster.  They got the bad game out of their system and they look to be more like the team that beat OSU, TXTECH and MSU.  Being 2-0  vs Big 12 and 1-0 vs SEC is no fluke.  This team is good and they have the best qb in the nation under center.

The dive to 16.5 baffles me...vegas set the opening line at 20 and it has gone down 3.5...do the sharps think that toledo has the firepower to outduel UH.  Hey Cougar High grad D-Unit - What give's brother?   What does the UH need to do, throw for 800 yards???
 
I got UH at -18 and I am a bit pissed that it has dropped.  The same thing happened prior to the UTEP game...
 
Does the UH team have such a short memory that they think a victory over a bad SEC teams and a ranking gives them the big head again, subject to a schooling by an inferior team?

Man, this line is aggravting. Can't believe it dropped AGAIN

I mean its Tulane...the second worst team in Louisiana...next to nicholls.

I really don't see why Oddsmakers would think Tulane can pull through on this one. Their offense is way more stagnant than UTEP'S, and the defense is just as bad.

I havent locked in the game yet, but I plan too. BIG MONEY DOWN WILL RESULT IN BIG MONEY WON!!!


Houston all the way. No hiccups in this game.

if it drops to 16 pts (@ 17 now) i may just get extra nasty and take a 6pt teaser on UH/over.

BTW, UH got beat up and have some major injuries on defense.  Starting 5 true freshman on defense against Tulane.  I think you will see Tulane move the ball w/ their ground game.  I see a 45-21 type of score.

Last three meetings Houston has won by an average of 30 points and no less than 24. UH should have their way with overmatched Tulane d. My is on the chalk. Predicted final score 48-21. glta

Houston has beaten Tulane by atlest 21 points the last 5 years.
No reason to see why that changes this year.

according to the injury list on the matchup page, UH only posts 2 injuries...where do you get your information on all those true freshmen?

Ha, you dont know Sumlin very well. He ALWAYS hides information on injuries. It's his M.O.  Our best d-lineman wont play, but is not listed as injured. Trust me on this.  He will let him rest, because we prob wont need him this game.
