#8 Posted: 10/12/2009 1:35:55 AM I would say TEXAS IS THE PLAY
for those who have seen Oklahoma Vs Baylor...Bradford has gone down hill! Oklahoma isn't the last year team.
but only -3 for TEXAS?? that is too good to be true. I will wait to see how the line move.

#10 Posted: 10/12/2009 9:56:09 AM wow, I am surprised at how short this line is. OU O line has major problems and is the main culprit of them being where they are this year. To not be able to run the ball against miami when they needed to was surprising. Same thing for their D line - when they had to make a stop, they couldn't. Texas underwhelmed against Colorado in the 1h, but made adjustments and came out firing in the 2h. I really dislike Texas, and I always want the Sooners to win when not playing my Huskers, but Texas is hell bent on getting to the big 12 champ game and getting to the NC game against the SEC champ...texas -3 is a gift imo...I already locked the Horns in here |

#11 Posted: 10/12/2009 10:39:41 AM Muschamp will bring the house! It wouldn't surprise me if Bradford gets knocked out of this game. The offensive line is the weakness and will be exposed once again in this game. I do not normally wager on my team or against them.. but I will have to on this game. Texas Large -3 Sharp |

#12 Posted: 10/12/2009 10:40:58 AM Mr. Insight - it's gambling, us just never know. Like that stinking Arizona/Washington ending... what a screwed up finish... I was about to start counting alot of $$ when that happened. |

#13 Posted: 10/12/2009 1:40:47 PM Maybe the under is the play too. You believe Texas will bring the house and disrupt Bradford and I think Colt McCoy is ssooooooo average that the under might be the play too |

#15 Posted: 10/12/2009 4:33:00 PM I see this being similar to last year with a little more edge going the Longhorn's way. Their defense is as good, if not better, than last year, and if McCoy wouldn't throw INT's leading to scores the other way, it'd show. OU's O-line isn't top-5 caliber (yet), and injuries have plagued them. Texas' offense has been lethargic the 1H of many of their games this year, but you can bet they'll be up for this game from the starting gun (and looking for some payback from being kept out of the B12 championship game). Last year, both teams headed into the game with good offenses and defenses, and the offense stole the show. With sunny skies predicted, I see the same thing this year.
Texas 42 Oklahoma 30

#16 Posted: 10/12/2009 6:18:48 PM Texas is overrated. No rushing game, and the only skill player is Shipley. OU's defense will force some turnovers, and Bradford wants to avenge last yr's loss. Sooners ML. |

#17 Posted: 10/12/2009 6:58:53 PM Oklahoma will tally their third loss of the year and everyone will learn......hopefully, once and for all.......everyon will learn.....it doesn't matter who else is on the team....... if you don't have an O line that communicates well, makes quick reads at the line of scrimage and makes the right call ajustments between them, you can't beat good teams!!!! I have watched my Irish go through this for the last 5 years!!! Thank the almighty, they are getting much better at it. Texas might not be quite as strong as they have been in the recent few years......but anybody who thinks Oklahoma is even close to the team they were last year......well......I guess just didn't see all those lineman graduate.......I mean leave .......Bradford isn't standing there for 5 seconds and picking out the right spot to throw to like last year. His arm isn't 100%. And most importantly, they are playing like they know they aren't the team they were. Texas will cause all kinds of trouble up front. Pound on the Horns here........it's not a 3 TD+ spread.......it's 3 points!!!! Because neither of these teams can cover thick chalk this year!!!! |

#18 Posted: 10/12/2009 7:05:08 PM By the way.......I don't like either of these teams......but to say that McCoy is average at best like I read above......I just don't know what to say except....... 70% completion average over the last year and a half and one lose in the last year and a half on a prayer of a play with a BCS bowl win over a very motivated OSU team last year........beating the best statistical offense in the history of College ball and holding them to 34 points last year(yes, Oklahoma)......and sittling poised to not lose more than a game at most this year again!?!?!? |

#19 Posted: 10/12/2009 7:33:28 PM I have to agree Irish..to say that Colt is average at best is pretty lame. I also agree that the #1 issue with the Sooners is their O line - they are simply not very good. They could not pass pro against BYU and look what happened to them....they could not run the ball effectively against miami and look what happened to them....I dislike the Horns, and all things Texas pretty much, and I am a Sooner fan, but the Horns take this comfortably I think...at least 9-10 points...me getting them at -3 and the line climbing just makes me feel that much better |

#20 Posted: 10/12/2009 9:15:07 PM This game is really pretty simple.....Bradford has nowhere near the weapons he had last year...Oline is just average, just look at running game...Really missing Inglesias and Johnson at wideout, Gresham at TE, Broyles is out...Murray is overrated....Sooner D is average at best....Little to no pass rush and a secondary that gets confused way too often....And frankly I just don't see a lot of team speed contrary to the hype.....
Add to that you have Stoops coaching which in a big game is a huge negative........
BIG-GAME-BOB???.....LOL
Horns roll by 2 touchdowns..... |

I agree with you on Colt's limited LT potential as a NFL QB, but he is a darn good college QB. I believe you will see Colt doing a lot more running for this game than you have seen all season...
Colt will be the difference in this game...

#23 Posted: 10/12/2009 9:45:27 PM You heard me right LHH.....This Sooner team did great things last year.....I attribute the loss to Texas and Florida more to Stoops and Kevin Wilson's play calling than anything else....
This year is different....This team is demonstrably less talented....Stoops' Nat'l Championship in 2000 was really a fluke....He was in the right place at the right time after just taking the team over the year before....Since then he's been laying giant eggs in almost every big game.....And this is a big game.....
Somebody tell me why you shouldn't fade Stoops in any big game.....Granted Texas is slightly less talented than they were last year....But they should control the game handle OU.....The only chance Sooners have is multiple turnovers that turn into scores.....
Don't see that happening.... |

#24 Posted: 10/12/2009 11:40:14 PM Taking Texas in this one. Only laying 3 points looks pretty good in this situation.
Texas leading scoring offense right now....OU just average with Bradford still settling in-----Adv. to Texas.
Defense is pretty even so far. OU is better on paper but I think Texas has more talent and will out play the OU line in a big way in passing downs. Secondary also seems to favor Texas, OU still building chemistry and Colt has been deadly accurate (4 of 6 INTs have been tipped balls).
Special Teams is by far the biggest advantage for Texas. Not even close with Shipely and DJ returning kicks. Always capable of a block too!
So long as Texas doesnt turn the ball over 3 or more times, I think they win by 7.

#25 Posted: 10/13/2009 12:00:05 AM Let's not forget about OU's receivers. Those boys are not clutch receivers, and I don't expect them to suddenly make miraculous catches.
