Update - forecasting heavy rains tomorrow night and rumors of flu on the Husker team (not confirmed..but local paper reported it).  A lot of people were likely on the over here...Under is the proper play imo...huskers will play keep away, as I dont think they will ask QB Lee to keep up with Gabbert TD for TD up and down the field.  Huskers #2 in TOP last year, and I think they get back to that here...RB helu will be busy tomorrow night...throw the potential for a lot of rain in there, and I see a lower scoring affair (24-17, etc)...Huskers of course

Thanks for the weather update.  I usually check the weather before deciding on over/under anyways.  But, will definitely play into my thought process.  If the weather inclement, I would go with Nebraska.

I cant believe the amount of people who like the Tigers. Of course there are the dumbasses who simply see a Thurs. night home dog and jump on it but it seems the majority is going with Mizzou, your going to make your bookie a very happy man tomorrow night. Huskers 27-10

do u guys think the last seconds vt touchdown was a fluke or they were playin possum all night long until the final strike?  they played like crap against nebraska but then the following week rammed the hell out of miami. if given time grabeert will pick the nebraska defense apart. he is 6' 5" 240 and he can also run although not elusive but he still can get yardage. mizzou o-line r pretty big and stout. and he has a 6' 5" receiver who runs excellent route and has good hands. only bad point is they haven t played anyone with a decent defense.

if u agreed with me  that vt could of killed nebraska anytime it wanted to, let say 38 to 7. then nebraska haven t been impressive either.  nebraska remains a mystery... their qb gets rattled easy and henlu is sick...so how r they going to score? i do admit that nebraska def is better...but not by much. sorta like 10 compared to 8.  on the other hand mizz offense is better 10 to nebraska 7.  add to the fact that it is at home in columbus and mizz gettin 3.....it is a no brainer.

Like the Tigers here. Mizzou's D is suspect, but ol Blaine can flat out sling it. Mizzou has no running game, not sure if Huskers can stop the spread offense.

Tigers +4

Pelini only said Helu was feeling a little ill in the local rag this morning and sat out yesterday's practice.  No mention of flu or any other players with problems.

Missouri is the correct play here + the points.  It will be a very close game in a game which has the likings of a backdoor type cover. The team who has the ball last here will win it. There will be no blowout trust me. It's always harder when a team is favored at home by 4 or more points to cover the line much less win the game period. In this case, Missouri will come out and prove they belong at the top. I'm also looking at the over here as well.

What I've seen of Nebraska they are quick and strong and Mizou impresses me as sloppy at times.  Huskers getting pts looks good to me.

I am very familiar with the Thursday Night Home Dog, and made a lot of money off of it...But IMO, Nebraska is a much better team, and was beating VaTech the whole entire game until the final drive in the last minute...

No way Nebraska goes 3-2 tomorrow and MO 5-0...There's a reason why Nebraska is the favorite here...IMO, I think they could beat anyone in the country minus Florida, and Texas, and I think they would give Texas a run for there money...

Nebraska's D-line is crazy, and there O-line is above average...Lee is going to pick MO apart...If this game where being played in Nebraska, on a Saturday, the line would be -7 to -10...Since its in MO, its -3.5 and will be 6 by gametime.

One thing that does scare me a little is MO QB...That F#^%*R is pretty damn good, but I think Nebraska gets pressure on hime and he throws his first INT....

But I still think Nebraska's Defense is that good and on offense, there going to kill the clock, its going to be a boring game due to the 55% chance of Rain, and I am sure both teams game plans is Run the ball. Helu is more then capable of handling the load...

The Final Score on this one is:

29-24 Nebraska

Good like guys

BTW, No, it wasnt a fluke, Vatech can score, Nebraska just has a good D-line and there was a lot of pressure on Taylor...

I like Nebraska -3.  Missouri's offense has not really been tested at all so their high ranking is a bit deceiving.  Meanwhile Missouri's defense is not as good as it looks.  The only top offense it has faced is Nevada and that is very deceiving as Nevada's high ranking is inflated by the UNLV game were UNLV literally quit playing.

I expect Nebraska to win by 10.  So a late garbage TD should still see Nebraska at push.

The money line is -160 @ my book so I made a small parlay with the under (52.5 )

I was playing around with the numbers just for shits and giggles and saw that If I bought the 3.5 down to .5  it was -170  where as the money line was -160

not in love with the play, but I threw some pocket change on it to make it interesting.

Nebraska is the more deciplined team, less turnovers and less penalties at this point. Nebraska can run the ball and Suh will get after Gabbert. Don't read into losing 2 straight, those kids still had Callahans mentality and it is completely gone even though some players still remain. Nebraska Owns Mizzou except for the Callahan era I meant error... Huskers -3 Good Luck

Think the Huskers is the play here.  The Home teams have seemed to be the better picks this year during these weekday games so it is tempting to take Mizzou; especially as a Home Dog, but that is exactly what Vegas and the books want us to do.  I think Nebraska is the better team and should cover if they play up to their potential.  Neither of these teams have really played a strong opponent yet to have a good comparison.  Nebraska at VT and Mizzou at Illinois aren't exactly stellar opponents.  Nebraska should have beaten VT and it is no easy task to win in Blacksburg.  If it is rainy, Nebraska has the edge in Run Defense and fumbles and the under would seem like the smart play.  Maybe the line will go down to 3 or less by gametime just for a little extra motivation but gotta go with the Huskers.

This is my first post to this site.  I have been following all of you for a while now but haven't posted anything until now.  There seems to be many who have good opinions on the games and others that just like to talk trash (and be wrong alot)........don't know why I decided to post for this game but take it easy on the new guy.  Everyone has an opinion and I respect that.  Good Luck to all of you and may your winnings be multiplied.

Makes no sense which is why I'll side with the Huskers minus the points here.  Beware of the too good to be true line.

You would probably be one of those guys that would have come on that Tues thread and rub it in my face if it went over the total even though I stated to everyone to play the over if they felt strongly about it.

Good luck

Nah dog, don't get it twisted!  It was in no means a personal dig at you.  It was all the so called "experts" and pundits calling this game "basketball on turf"  where they were expecting mtsu to get to 50 all by themselves, but the game got nowhere near that.

All I was trying to point out is that despite all logic to the contrary, the game went heavily under.  Just like this game, any competant observer would point out Nebraska played the harder comp and was more dominant in thier victories, but these trends are sometimes self-fufilling where the clear underdog finds a way to pull out the outright victory.

Oh, and HPD if you ever pull me over, try let a buddy go with a warning please!
