LSU - 35                                   Washington - 10
Tigers -16.5                     under 53.5
Tough way to start your coaching career, opening up against a team that does well as an ATS road favorite. LSU also coming off a convincing 38 - 3 bowl win over Ga Tech. Miles will have them primed and ready to go

I hear you Sharp, giving a lot of points in an opener against a team that has decent athletes is risky.  LSU has great athletes, and the best running back in the SEC, and Jefferson the QB looked fantastic in the bowl against Ga Tech, but that was his only start.  If he is as sharp in this game as he was that night, I think LSU will roll by at least 3 TDs, but opening on the road the fist time the team is really yours can be dicey.  I wouldn't bet Washington with 24 points, but I may not bet LSU either.  I have just had bad experiences with high flying offenses early in the year.  Defenses are usually ahead at this point as timing needs to beworked out.  Now that LSU defense may generate some points on its own, but I might sit this dance out....well, maybe a small play on LSU just because it has been a long time since CFB!  Lay the points, but don't bet it heavily and risk spending all season digging out.  GL.

How can you compare a LSU program to Tennessee. LSU is one of the elite programs out there and it's being compared to a Tennessee.

LSU 42 Washington 6

Right on the money bangerboy, TN and Auburn have slipped to mid-level in the SEC with Arky.  LSU, Georgia, Florida and Bama are the four Tier 1 teams in the SEC.  Old Miss is temporarily competitive, maybe this year only, and Arkansas may move up under Peterino, but not this year.  LSU could easily win the West, and might take Florida down in Baton Rouge if Jefferson is as good a QB as he looked against Ga Tech.  If he is, they blow Washington away.

I came out of the gate saying that Washington was so inherantly screwed up by Ty Willingham(You Husky fans are racists for firing him!!)   that LSU would just roll them.  But Jake Locker is the real deal and you saw what a good offensive minded guy did to a storied program in the first year after Ty Willingham(You Irish fans are racists!!! ) was fired.  What a joke those idiots were crying that pathetic card!!    Can we all agree now......TY isn't a big school coach!?!?!?  Ok, sorry, I digress.

LSU is starting a newbie, young QB on the road in the house of a starving for success program at night!!  I think Washington will be much improved this year and even make a bowl........I like the home dog here.....but if I play it, it will be for a small entertaining bet only.  GL everyone.........should be one of the more entertaining games of the day!

I'm having a hard time seeing UW keep this within 3 TD's. I see where people are saying Huskies have alot of experience back, but that experience is horrible. Particularly on defense and the O-Line. Half of Willigham's roster was division 1-AA talent. Biggest thing going for UW is the scheme factor. Only because LSU is probably uncertain about how to prepare for the new coaching staff's ideas on both sides of the ball. Locker is a threat and moreso of one not knowing what he's been up to in the off season. Just based on raw athletic and football ability up and down the roster, LSU is 5 TD's better, though.

Wouldn't be suprised if Locker gets knocked out of this game the way he runs around. Then who comes in Joe Montana's son?

Right on the money, LSU rolls !  Miles and the boys are ready to kick some butt!!  Look for good things out of Jefferson and Scott this year.

One of my favorite games of the day. LSU should dominate this game. Washington is a one man team with Locker. The travel does worry me a little bit but it really shouldn't be that big of a problem for the Tigers. LSU BIG
