Texas has to make a statement and then some after last years reach around from the ranking sytem.I'm thinking -26 opening and nothing but up after that.Grab it early.

They may cover in the first half, but it will be 23-24. That's a lot of points. You may sweat it out at the end of the first half, but they will more than likely cover that...
If I were you, I would -40 for the game. Texas is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 years against 1st game home patsies from either the SBC or WAC. With what happened to us last year, I would not worry about a possible back door cover in this game. I believe the game is a safer bet in this game...

I am not one to lay 42 points too often, but after surveying the opening week board I think this is the play for me.
Historically there have always been good old fashioned we-are-here-for-the-payday opening day blow outs and this one fits the model. Look at all the other top level programs and find a bigger mismatch this first weekend. Texas could start their third stringers and still win this game.
Texas has a Heisman trophy candidate behind one the most experienced offensive lines in the country.
The poor ULM QB is starting his second game in his career. The first game he started while the regular starter served his one quarter suspension.
One writer on covers.com actually complained about this contest and compared it to the fun of fishing at a trout farm.
While I hate fishing, I like situations like this. Sorry I couldn't get on it earlier but I don't think it will be an issue.
Texas +42.

Texas will absolutely destroy this team. They always cover the early season, out of conferance, piles of points. They won't put up anything less than 50.......I can't see ULM putting up more than 7 down there on opening day.........Gotta pound this one it looks like.

42 is a lot but as someone in this thread said earlier, TEXAS isn't leaving anything up to chance this year and will run up the score at will against this team. Plus I'm sure their dying to get McCoy his heisman now.
Texas -42

This game and the Penn St. game are the two best thick chalk games of the weekend!!!! Put them in a two teamer and laugh when almost 70 points are covered in your parlay!
