#7 Posted: 8/18/2009 12:13:42 AM 22 isn't near enough for BYU, this is a mismatch and OU will use this to make a statement in case they need poll help at the end of the season. Even though this is a neutral site game, BYU will not travel well enough to keep this from being a big edge for OU. Bradford is deadly accurate and only a team that can test the new OL will be able to pressure Bradford or stop their running game, BYU isn't strong enough up front to do that. Take OU and lay the points, Stoops likes to pile it on when he gets the chance. |

#14 Posted: 9/2/2009 2:25:58 AM Forget the spread- I'll go with the over 68... both of these teams can light up the score board. OU will score 7-8 tds on their own... The 5th year senior out of BYU should be good for 3-4 tds... Its kind of one of those "perfect storms" in the sense that for BYU to have a shot they must score 6+tds because you know OU will put up at least that many... and if BYU is getting blown out chances are you will get at least 10+ tds between the two teams anyway- |

#16 Posted: 9/3/2009 12:06:47 AM BYU CAN SCORE AGAINST THE LIKES OF UNLV, BUT NOT O.U.

#17 Posted: 9/3/2009 11:40:29 AM Heard this morning on Okla radio station that Germain Gresham has injured knee and very poss out for BYU......
Even if true...pay no mind.....BYU secondary is considered mediocre at best....In fact Max Hall has been throwing intercepts in practice to that same mediocre secondary.....I watched Air Force give BYU fits in a late season game last year....TCU dominated them.....
Sooners in a breeze by 35+......Look for 3+ BYU turnovers leading to scores.....Over probably a good bet but beware of Sooners with big leads at half slowing the game down in 2nd half.....

#18 Posted: 9/3/2009 2:30:35 PM I agree that OU will likely cover this game, but keep in mind they lost their entire starting offensive line. Bradford isn't going to have all day to throw like he did last year. Probably won't matter in this game, but something to think about as they play teams that get after the quarterback.

Good Call. SOONERS BIG. Oklahoma lost a lot on their O-Line in the offseason but they are still a heck of a team. Their defensive front seven is among the best in the country and should force Hall into making some mistakes throughout the game. |

#20 Posted: 9/3/2009 3:19:02 PM BYU is a strict cover 2 and cover 3 team... they refuse to get beat deep. they will give up the 5+ yards pass all day long. OU will roll on saturday even without Gresh... OU's defense will be a powerhouse this year ( as long as no one gets hurt ) OU will shut down BYU and win 63-10 |

Most Bradford balls aren't necessarily deep for scores....He's a slice-and-dice QB who's receivers make yards after catch....BYU can refuse all they want and they'll still probably get beat deep too.....O-Line is a question mark.....But remember they practice against a top-5 D and recruits are blue chip.....Just a matter of re-loading I suspect.....Guess we'll see.....I don't necessarily like Stoops but I look for him to run it up coming off the Florida game.... |

Completely agree Wash... OU will spread this defense really thin... Make LB's cover WR's... and we all know that there are only maybe 2 or 3 LB's that can do that successfully!!! |

#23 Posted: 9/3/2009 11:55:18 PM Gresham the All American tight end is out for this game.. Okla. had another starting O'lineman go down.. They have 0 offensive lineman now. And with all the skill position players that left... I'm on BYU.. too many points in my opinion for the first game. Sharp |
