Wow if Texas thinks they got hosed by the selection then what did Texas Tech get done to them the Cotton Bowl.

Dunno, is this the same Ole Miss that beat the #1team in the country?  Also, didn't the knock off Auburn and LSU?  Seems like a gamer to me...
 
What's the deal with Crabtree? 
 
I think TT has had a bit of kryptonite added to it's gatorade lately as well.

Ole' Miss should play the spoiler role once again in this one.  Tech has a tendancy to sleep walk early on in their bowl games.  Last year they should have lost to Virginia and the year before had to overcome a 31 pt. deficit against Minnesota.  Tech hasn't covered a bowl spread since the 2004 Holiday Bowl against Cal.

i gotta say i think tech will win this by 10 maybe more
if they can outplay texas they deserve to win some sort of a bowl come on that had a great season and will cap it off with as a solid win here

This will be a shoot!  But I cannot help thinking that that Ole Miss D will come up with just enough stops to win this game or maybe lose on the final drive by like 1-4 points.  Early lean says Ole Miss.  Sharp

maui  ole miss got lucky and lsu and auburn are not that good texas tech will pound this team the only way miss wins this one is if tech feels they got robbed which i dont feel they have they got lucky against texas and they got dominated by oklahoma     harrell will want to win this one bad my prediction 42 28 tech rolls in this one

This Ole Miss team is hot, remember the win or the Gators, it wont be so easy for the Red Raiders !  I'll take the Rebels and points anyday against a team with no defense.

i rode Ol Miss 4 straight games to end the year...
 
but now i look back at their supposedly impressive stretch run: wins against such powerhouses as Arkansas, Auburn, ULMonroe, Miss St and LSU... and remember, LSU blew chunks this year... couldn't even beat Arkansas...
 
bottom line: Ol Miss ain't all that!  Tx Tech lost one game to arguably the best team in CFB on the road... this line is about 4 points too low... Tx Tech will win by 10+...

Houston Nutt should be SEC coach of the year. With that being said; its almost as if Vegas is begging the public to take Texas Tech with this line. Still need to mull over this one, but I have been questioning Texas Tech all year. I don't trust their defense.

I would not touch this one!  I would like to say Texas Tech, but with Crabtree having issues it could go either way!

Here's a tip - Texas Tech usually gets off to slow starts in bowl games....  so maybe you should take Ole Miss 1st half... and cash your duckets.  Just something I've noticed over the years.   Sharp

He isn't having issues.  He finally gave up on his ankle against Baylor that has been bothering him all year.  Look for Harrell to have a HUGE game in front of his hometown.  I know that some of you think Tech doesn't have a defense, that isn't entirely true.  But the fact of the matter is, they don't need a defense for an SEC team.  Last I checked, most of the SEC teams ranked below the top 50 in offense.  Look for Tech to roll!

gobigblu4evr you are right on. This is a trap game if I ever saw one. Tech seems to be the bet at -4.5 but that spread should be atleast a touchdown.

Interesting bowl game for a change.  Ole Miss is quite a sleeper with NFL talent on the defensive side of the ball, but no one will shut TT down totally as they get off quick strike passes that are hard to pressure the QB on.  But Jevon Snead is a very talented QB as well and the Big 12 has Arena Football League-type defenses.  Haven't decided to take either side yet, but feeling good about an over play.
