Pitts +3 (bought the hook). Pitts is more physical in the trenches . If they can handle Pat white and Devine, I think they can slow down Donald Brown and Conn offense.

Okay, I just posted something really stupid. Please disregard.  Lorenzen is not out, but he's been pretty ineffective lately. I think Pitt will load up on Brown and force U Conn into passing situations. I'll take the Panthers and the moneyline.

"The Stach" has finally won me over........they are playing within themselves, they know who they are, and they stay focused on that.  Pitt will win this game outright by playing more physical and running the ball well when it matters most in the game.

Don't let that win over WV fool ya.  Stach will make you an unbeliever all over again. He is due for a major loss, the stach is the killer of football programs (pro and college).  UC will roll in this game.  Why is a ranked team a dog against an unranked team? After they had that fabulous win. I like UC at home.  GLTA

I am struggling with the side on this game and I would like to get some insight since it is the best early game on tomorrow.  But I could do without blanket weekly underdog predictions. 

Here is what I am thinking. 

O/U:
Frigid weather with both teams oriented to the running game and both teams good at stopping the run.  I think it has to be a very low scoring affair.  I see this game going way Under the 45.5.

Side:
UConn is historically a really good home team and they haven't lost against the spread on Senior day in the last 8 years (that is as far as I went back).  They spanked Cincinnati at home a few weeks ago, who beat Pitt a couple of weeks ago.  They lost at home to WVU, but that is a hard team to get any information from.  They are one of those teams who can get on a roll and beat down about any team out there.  I think the line is right on for this game, Uconn by a FG.  I might put a small play on the home team since they are giving the hook and I will be playing the under anyway.

And for the "Stach" factor.  I think we can all agree that he is a horrible coach.  He is still around because of his recruiting skills, but that isn't going to help them against UConn.
As a general rule, I tend to fade the Stach.

What about U-conn's game with WV  lost 13 to 35.

Last 3 games average score  Pitt. 27 to 16,   U-conn 21 to 22

  That sharp guy cant pick em. Dont tell him to be quiet though, i watch him and if i am on the other team, it looks better for me.

I like Pitt to reclaim their heritage from the early 80s.  I imagine for the players it would be like winning a championship.
