MSU 1-10 ATS last 11 and they are coming off back to back SU losses. It would be a monumental task for the Bulldogs to go into Baton Rouge and leave with a win. Besides that LSU is 4-0-1 ATS after playing Auburn. Bengal Tigers for me.

After the last 2 games Miss St has had...put up 2 vs Auburn....then 7 against G Tech....I can see them getting shut out vs this LSU team...38-0......LSU easy....might be over by half....

Greenedeyeddevils, EXCELLENT observation !!! You just might be right !!! LSU coming home against a VERY VERY TOUGH game at Auburn, JUST MIGHT take it out on a BAD Miss. ST team, once again, like they've been doing for at least the past 5 years !!! It would be REALLY nice to see a shut here, IT'S VERY POSSIBLE, BUT how often do you see LSU shutting out people? Not too often. Final score: LSU 49 Miss. St 7

MIGHT BE over at the half ? I think that you MIGHT'VE made a FEW spelling mistakes. It WILL NOT be over by halftime. IT WILL BE OVER before the opening kick off !!!!

I look for a little bit of a letdown for LSU, good thing the Tigers are playing MSU!! Take LSU at the half as they will put in the 4th string then the cheerleaders to close out the game and will probably still cover -24.5. Projected line at the half should be 13 1/2. Easy money this week here for the tigers!!

I'm starting to rethink this one LSU had a tough game last weekend at Auburn, and next weekend they travel to The Swap to face the Gators. How could they not look ahead to that matchup? They'll probably be resting players as well...24 might be too much.

Dave, here is an interesting angle if you are interested...
because this series is so completely one-sided, there is a system play you can make on this game that has been unbelievable... and i don't see that it will end in this game...
make 2 bets before the game, for equal amounts of money...
1) LSU (-24)
2) LSU 1H (-13)
at halftime, if (and only if) LSU did not cover the first half bet, bet them to cover the second half...
playing that system in this matchup over the past 11 years, you would be 21-3 overall... more importantly, you would have won money 10 of 11 years, and pushed only once... never losing money...
going 2-0 eight times
going 2-1 two times
going 1-1 one time
basically, LSU (9 out of 11 times) blows them off the field in the first half... but, in those rare cases they don't (2 of 11), they crush them in the second half (2 of 2)... regardless, they almost always cover the game (10 of 11)... the only exception being a 31 point win as a 34 point favorite...
so, with a 24 pt spread, it doesn't look like a problem...
i've been betting LSU in this series in one or more ways every year for the last 6 years, so i can't lose money on this game... pretty sure i can win some more, though...

miss state 1-10 ats in their last 11? i guess i can post false information too...
1) LSU hasn't covered a spread in since 2001 2) Oklahoma struggles to move the ball on offense 3) The ACC is the best conference in the country 4) Tom Brady is 100% healthy
but i'll try to be reasonable...
Mississippi State is 1-2 ATS this year and 5-6 ATS including last season...i think that that LSU has been overvalued after beating Auburn and Miss State getting owned at Ga. Tech...the out of conference game for the Bulldogs was a classic letdown game sandwiched between big SEC West opponents...from the LSU point of view, this game is sandwiched between arguably their two toughest matchups of the season, at Auburn and Florida (btw, I think Georgia is the class of the SEC, but the Tigers face UGA in Baton Rouge)...I cannot see LSU coming out with the same level of intensity that they do against worthwhile SEC teams...I will make a play on the Bulldogs here...and i guess i'll make a random prediction like everyone else
Mississippi State- 6 LSU- 27

oops! the Florida - LSU game is in two weeks... Oct. 11... Florida plays Arkansas next week and LSU is on a bye... this is not a sandwich game...
just wanted to ease your worries...

LSU is in no position to have look ahead games. We had to revamp our gameplan in the 2nd half of the Auburn game, and perhaps for the entire season.
Our game plan for the year was simple. Run the ball, control the clock, run some more, throw a little, run the ball with Hatch, and run some more, and trick plays. On defense, we rotate players in and out, keep them fresh, wear out the opposing offensive line, blitz them. Simple, and well within our ability.
LSU did not have plans to play in the national title game. We just wanted a winning, respectable season. An SEC title was the best thing we could have asked for this season. But it looks like the big game might have given the Tigers a detour once again.
With Lee in the game, we can have a more balanced attack now. With Hatch, we couldn't stretch the field, or utilize our receivers. This will be the best opportunity for us to cleanup our new offense. We sure don't want to do this against Florida.
Even if our starters don't show up, our other players are more than willing to step up and impress the home crowd. You've seen pretty much all of them play already, in the Auburn game alone. Depth has been one of our strong points the last few season, and it will be this season also.
LSU 37-52 MISS St 6-14
I know, 37-14 means no cover for LSU, but I have to put in some margin of error.
