I was at the Villanova Syracuse game this past weekend.
I haven't posted much on this board but I did say in one of my first posts that Villanova was very overratted and that they hadn't played enough good teams to get exposed. Well they've been exposed.
Having said that, I thought Syracuse looked very good. Villanova jumped out to an 11 point lead early but Syracuse dominated after that. They are very strong and athletic. Flynn is an NBA guard and Paul Harris is slowly becoming a much better player and leader. Syracuse's frontcourt dominated Villanova physically inside.
I think Syracuse could be the one team in the Big East that is on the outside looking in right now that could threaten an NCAA bid by seasons end. They have good young talent and they're coming together.
Last time I posted I predicted Louisville over UCONN because I thought Louisville would force UCONN to beat them from the outside. Price played a great game and UCONN didn't have to resort to outside shooting.
I'm going to the well with that logic again. Syracuse packs in the zone and UCONN struggles from the outside in an arena that can be tough to shoot in at times.

The total is rather high in my opinion, which usually spells "GO WITH IT!" but I am going to play the role of I-know-better-than-the-oddsmakers role tonight ... probably foolishly.
Since Dyson was bounced three games ago, UCONN's offense has dropped about 10 points and their shooting% allowed has also improved. Meanwhile, Syracuse has gone under in eight of the last 10, most of them handily. I can easily see this as a 65-60 game, well under the number.
Then again, I am worried about that line being higher than I 'd think it should be. I am tempted to go OVER in the first and UNDER for the game, but I'll stick with UNDER.

Huskies are maturing every game under adversity. They are FINISHING games this year. Thabeet doesn´t rattled too easily, Price & Austrie have been solid. And they are shooting free throws better. Although seeing Jeff Adrien at the line still scares me.

Huskies +2.5
Wake -2.5
Notre Dame -1
Another deciding factor (which I hope doesn´t happen) that Notre Dame and Uconn are ranked for the first time all year and it could have them play tight on the road.
