Be interesting to see if the oddsmakers adjust to the toyotas performance, because if kenseth opens at 10-1 or better ill have to play it. Brad will be another 1 ill be looking at.
I just watched or skimmed through last years race and the racing here sucks, after the repave, its not even the same track really. Stop repaving tracks nascar.
Everyone talked bad about burton last week, then he has his best run in 2 years lol dont you love how that works. Lets see if i can help some other poor sap out...... Danica couldn't finish top 10 at Michigan if she ran her indycar

Yeah Im Kinda getting the feeling were making the toyota engine deal out to be a bigger deal than it should be.
I actual like 2 matchups Khane over Jr I will take that every week except plate tracks and Brad over Gordon.

I'm all over Jr this week Cat.

I'll take him over the 5 this week as well.

I think Denny at 10-1 is a good play.

Think Gordon is a must play as well at 20-1 or better.

All the less than 10-1 guys I'm out on.

Jim at 4-1 is a joke.. He will not win this race!

Jj has never won at Michigan   It is the only track that NASCAR goes to twice a year that he hasn't won at yet!!!!!     Jeff has 1 track  left  tony has 2  and jimmy has 5   If Ambrose hadn't been a dumbasssss and shut his car off going up a hill jimmy probably would have never won a road course!!!!!

I agree about kyle and kenseth.  They are in.  Give them all the HP they want!

I like the Kyle pick Stats. We haven't heard from him in awhile, and anything 10/1 on Kyle is an auto play for me. Kenseth, Kahne, Kyle and Kes are my picks.

Little pre race odds talk, but the main reason im posting this is look at what the mgm is offering on khane and carl compared to lvh or even dimes

The mears vs labonte matchup is up on greek. Im actually going with labonte  The 51 is a better car than the 47 plus he will be plenty  motivated after losing his ride

The 51 is better than the 47?  Labonte will be motivated? I don't know if I would put my hard earned on that statement.  Here's a little insight my "insider" gave me.

By the way, my insider is my girlfriends Dad.  He raced Sprint Cars for a living for 25 years.  He knows most of the drivers and crew chiefs on a first name basis, and has raced against some of them.  Here's what he told me about the older drivers:

When drivers get past a certain age, they don't lose ability, or vision, or instinct.  They lose the killer instinct.  Instead of fighting for a top 5, they settle for top 10.  Five years later they don't fight for a top 10, they settle for top 15, etc.  He said that is what is happening to Labonte, and its started to creep in for Mark Martin (the guy is in great shape, but like he said...you can't be a killer forever).  Guys get grandkids, more perspective on life, etc...and all of a sudden motivation goes away.

His best guess is that Labonte has top 15 talent, but not top 35 motivation, and his team knows it.  The 51 is a temporary solution and he gets a paycheck.

I don't want to scare you away from a wager you feel great about, but that's his point of view.  He's not right all the time, but he's right a lot more than he is wrong.  I'm most likely going to be on Mears, but GL either way Catdaddy.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents...

First off I really appreciate your imput, and I completely agree that drivers lose there killer instinct and start settling for spots when they get older. I think gordon even settles sometimes.

However I do believe the 51 is better than 47 especially at fast race tracks, this is the match up I was really wanting 51 over 47.

This is not a matchup i would look to play every week, I just find hard to believe a human being can not be motivated after losing his ride and try extra hard too outrun his previous ride, and in the process the 13.
Ive looked at how the 51 and 13 compared on big tracks this year, and the 51 has performed better. I look for Bobby to continue that, atleast for week
