#7 Posted: 2/27/2013 7:57:41 AM I DEFINITELY wouldn't touch Jimmie this week because him and Chad are going to be worn out from flying east to west coast a million times this week doing late night shows and early morning shows etc etc like the Daytona winner always does.
I'm with ya in being all in on Kyle Busch. Just put $300 on him at 8-1. |

For real? How did I miss that? I actually really liked how they did it last year.
Also, serious value on Newman this week. Going back to 2010, his last 6 finishes have been 1, 2, 5, 5, 21, 5. At +3000, he may be worth a look. The team has the momentum of coming off of a top 5 in which he finished feeling pretty ill. Also took Martinsville down last year--another flat track. |

I was thinking the same thing. If he gets a good matchup, I'm going to play it.
It's worth noting that his qualifying efforts have been rather average, but his finishes have been good.
5dimes has him paired against Logano in qualifying being the favorite at -130. Logano, despite having a bad finish average, has actually outqualified him recently. I'd stay away from this one. |

#15 Posted: 2/28/2013 12:05:09 PM Among other new race weekend procedures for 2013:
• The qualifying order will be determined by random draw for Cup, while the qualifying order for Nationwide and truck will be the driver’s best speed from all practice sessions, slowest to fastest. |

Unfortunately we're still on a relatively new racing surface. I've been to every Chicago race, and the first 3-4 years on that thing were terrible. It takes a while for multiple grooves to open up. Phoenix is a much better track though.
It's going to be tough to be worse than Daytona though. |

#24 Posted: 3/3/2013 8:32:06 AM GL this weekend. Anyone else feel a Hamlin to the front just like Loudon last year? Kyle and Martin will be the hot plays but I think Hamlin will be running and gunning |

#25 Posted: 3/3/2013 9:15:54 AM I don't like Mark Martin at all...to put money on at least. I think that car will be great for the first 1/3 of the race then fade. |
