It is that time again. If you were in the contest last year at any point, you should get an email from the contest addy.
But for those who may be new to the NASCAR Survivor concept, here's the deal. It's a contest open to anyone (we have a nice group from covers, but also my family and friends make up 60% or so of the competitors and a couple folks who knew Covers folks). The basis of the game is that you must pick a driver every week who will finish among the top 20 for that race. Picks are submitted weekly. The trick is, after you use a driver, you can't pick him again for that round of the contest. Last year if I remember correctly we had 4 seperate contests.
The entry fee to the game is 10 bucks per competitor. The final Sole Survivor will take home the amount in the pot. (Although if it gets down to a few they can negotiate as they see fit). Last year we had about 25 players or so per run.
If you played last year, you should have gotten an email from the official email addy. If you are new to the board, or just didn't play last year, we'd love to have you. Just please email me directly at my private emai (covers name at yahoo) and I will reply to you with the contest email, and we'll go from there.
contest is for pretty small stakes, but everybody I've talked to really liked it. Fun every week, chance for cash, let me know if anybody wants to get involved. Most of your regular posters here were last year.
