may have never put so much time in a race  and  been so unsure of myself  but thats gambling..... and this really is a great  race   .  over the  years  and despite  not having the derby and preakness winners  it should  be very entertaining  and if you  get lucly  ,hitting a tri ,super or p4 , whatever.. can be very profitable..  brain is  cooked, the  undercard  has been more  manageable  for me anyhow..   the  guys in here,  angry barber,  mikey p, sooner, tygermike and some more  have made all the points... the jock, trainer  stats mikey provided are tools used by most..  breeding  and pace  were covered also.   i ve been reading  pps, watching replays and workouts all  along.  i may be repeating some of them but heres my take on the field....

#1  tom terrific.. i mean twisted tom,my  feeling here is  chad has a ny bred gelding who is doing great.. they put 75k up,they get castellano ..  but  he admitted he needs to get better.. beyers if means anything are in some cases 20 points behind  most of these..  with that being said they say he can run all  day and night. .think  chads  keeping real power, cloud computing  and timeline  for saratoga.. not for me ..but this trainer and jock are  ridicoulous

#2  tapwrit, pletcher and jose ortiz.. again.....since 2006, pletcher  got 2 belmont wins  and was 2nd with  bluegrass cat, dunkirk, comissioner, stay thirsty and  last yr   destin.  he got patch and  this  guy..   hasnt  been a real late closer. should be  ahead of at least  5 or 6 of these  late in the game.. ortiz getting so good.. he might be a big edge, his experience in ny.. i like  him alot. works  and 6th out of 20 in kty mud  wasnt  so bad..

#3  gormley..  shireffs and espinoza, who has been on board all his starts.. some  say  he didnt have a chance in kty mud either, s anita derby wasnt special   but  the horse he beat  ran 3rd in kty.. im more about shireffs  not sending out him cross country without him being  really ready.. breeding is suspect  but  most are at this  classic, just a good start  with his versatile style  should  have him in the picture  for at least a piece..all gimmicks...

#4 j boys echo, dale romans and albarado  fresh off  the  injury...romans  0-8 in ny  classic, with 4 thirds however.. 8-0-0-4  he may have beaten cloud computing  early at aqueduct.. way before brown got to that guys bottom..  i cant pick them all, today  for me i dont like him.  but thats me....

more in a few   .

#5  hollywood handsome, dallas stewart, florent geroux..  good team, he just beat older in allowance  and this stewart got a history of late runners..  my feeling is  dallas is very happy to have made this race, not a win candidate in my opinion  but underneath  who knows..

#6 lookin at lee,  asmussen and  irad ortiz, last years  champ  combo..the  bad  .. he hasnt won since ellis park last summer..  the good  ..they  and who are they? say he loves it in ny and is doing great.. more good..  if asmussen pulls off a 1-2-3  finish  this guys a millionaire without  maybe a win this year.. ive got him in some gimmicks  but not win bets or p4s..

#7  irish war cry, graham motion, rajiv maragh,  i read  where he was working so well and motion said he gained 10-15 lbs,, so   we now have a favorite  6-4-0-0 life.. my feeling is  he got a trainer  who can train them up for the  longer races as well as anyone and he got a jock  that is  ok  but  not great..  exactas may still be ok if wins at 7/2,4/1.. but i have to try and beat him  but include him in p4s

#8  senior investment, mcpeek, channing hill..  been on this guy since a oaklawn win  that i liked.. hes come so far since dull ellis park  last summer.  no speed but hes a player..  and will win something good soon  trust me.. if it totally  caves in  he will be galloping late. not so  crazy and early betting had him down to 7/1..  on all my tickets...

#9  meantime..  brian lynch, mikey smith  are solid, ran 2nd in peter pan slop and he in my opinion  wasnt giving it up late. his maiden win at keeneland  also at 1/18 and mud was very good  but experts want to know who he beat.. trainers all say the good, lynch says he has him as good as he can. will go a long long way on engine  . like al...l hes worried about last 1/8 of a mile.  im including him in my plays.. if he qiuts he quits  but i see good things ahead for this guy..

#10  multiplier, brendan walsh,rosario..walsh not a household name in the triple crown.. i will mention again his finish in illinois derby  was  freakish.. his 6th in baltimore  was troubled a bit..  he certainly can jump up and grab these guys  late and  he is another  moving forward. he is in exactas, but not in p4..not impossible  for any part here.  i  ,and its just me  like others  better..

#11  epicharis, wow  is he out  yet?  japan guy  up to 12/1  with foot issue.. japan ready to bet millions on this  guy in a pool  nyra  gets a percentage of and  the  japanese  bet  very well..  im dead if he wins, i have him underneath in cheap exactas. with a few horses..

#12  patch, pletcher, johnny v..  sentimental choice  to go along with being lightly raced and a  possible  grow up  ,also got the breeding if it  becomes a factor.. the poor post  doesnt help.. but  it wouldnt be surprize..

im feeling  positive about some on undercard..  i boxed 5 in exacta  to start  2,3,7,8,9.. .   .
