#3 across the board today. Lots of intangibles here......
Just hoping this doesn't become the "popular" play today.
IMO, the second and third choices today are ducks.....AP has the best chance to win the Triple Crown that anyone has ever had......BUT, that mile and a half is a bittch. I would be looking to Zito here to pull one out of his asss, but the Zito horse today is outclassed. The #3 isn't.
The greatest thoroughbred of my lifetime was Smarty Jones. Somebody should write a book on the phuckery that conspired to ensure a Smarty Jones loss at Belmont.
The horseplayers know what I am talking about........the most heavily bet horse in history (some estimates were near 250$ million ) was Smarty Jones at Belmont. Smarty ran the fastest 1 mile in history....and the slowest last half mile.
The jockey was in on it....he was riding 5k claimers the day before Belmont in Jersey; he called it a "prior" engagement.. I call it a business meeting.....blow up the horse on the backstretch and make damn sure it has nothing left.....
I remember that day...one of my bigger scores as a gambler....I had gotten 3/1 on the field to win vs Smarty Jones at youwager.........I cashed in big, but the way the race unfolded made me sick; people were robbed that day.
Still remember how mad/hurt/heartbroken the trainer was as he gave the post race interview...I thought he was going to take a swing at the jockey on national TV.......
Can't fight city hall boys....IF AP is supposed to win, then he will; if not, the door opens for some guys to make a score.
