This is a very easy question for horse players, but I just ran across his name and rememembered what he once accomplished---at the age of 18 years old.
Jara is a guy who seemed to disappear, although he still rides.

He's now racing in the sandbox @ Calder. I'm headed down there tomorrow & he's on a live one in Argentine Tango for trainer Stanley Gold in the 10th. Other than that he's got four other mounts for some low % trainers.
He was also on Fort Loudon beating Trinniberg when he was in demand but many good owners/trainers have lost his agent's phone#.

Maybe the greatest single year I have ever seen for a jock in 2006-2007 at 18/19 years old.
He won the Belmont on Jazil; the Suburban, the Whitney and BC Classic in 2006 and in 2007 won the Dubai World Cup, the Donn and a few other major stakes.....then sort of disappeared.
He came to Arlington Park two years ago and did absolutley nothing in a meet he could have dominated. What's more, he refused to ride in the morning, so a lot of trainers wouldn't use him.
Too bad because he is just 25 years old and can still be one of the greats, if he tried. Right now, he's won just $600,000 for the year....not chump change,....but not exactly in the same class as Rosario,, Rosie, Bejarano, etc.
