8/1 ml. recency (fitness), pattern, trainer, breeding. i see this one as ripe for a new face though neither of the two virgins (2 and 6) appeal enough to me here especially going 6.5F. all of the ones with experience in my view can run evenly late or lack any meaningful late punch. this guy ran up the track three times in a row as a young 3YO but now it's almost a year later and Sherriffs is rockin' with new faces and is very prudent picking his spots (43% with a new runner). i am intrigued how this guy opened up huge on the lawn at the half mile pole showing some legit zip (and I realize he "stopped" in that heat). like the fitness he's shown in SoCal prepping for this with five of the last six recorded drills going 5/8ths in Inglewood and all of them quick and solid. could have easily waited to go across town at Inglewood but putting him on natural dirt in Arcadia. numerous successful sibs. vulnerable crew here in my view and i'll swing for the fences he should be the longest shot on the board. 0.60 units.
