Hello All! OK. So here we are in April. We will lose the Fairgrounds, but gain Keeneland. However, for Wednesday, here is what we have:
Aqueduct - 1,7,8
Gulfstream - 1,4,6,7,8,9,10
Tampa - 5,6,7,8
While there are no special horses for Wednesday, I thought I would share with those of you who have become interested in Slew's information the results of the Fairgrounds meet.
This was the first Fairgrounds meet for Slew. I would say it went much better than I expected. In fact, I think it was quite a success. Let us not forget that Slew...bless his little silicon heart...is a freakin' software program. And while his human counterpart (me) subsidizes him with Key Horses on occasion, Slew does all the heavy lifting. I think I owe him a treat. Maybe an extra row of memory? Or a cute little laptop he can network with?
I have done a bit of a review of the Fairgrounds meet and here is how he did:
126 entries went to the post (some being repeats...I don't know how many). Of those, we saw 27 win for an average return of $7.60. However, one stat which I find quite remarkable is the following:
of the 27 winners, 15 of them were SINGLES. That means that Slew offered those horses and only those horses for their respective races for an average payoff of almost $9.00.
For my Key Horses, 4 went to the post with all 4 winning while one, Majestic Harbor also placed. The average return was $7.40.
The largest payoff was Silver Spur at $26.80. The lowest return was Comisky's Humor at $2.40.
Finally, 12 of the 27 winners came out of home grown races. Much better than I expected.
All in all, more successful than I imagined it would be, and needless to say, Fairgrounds will stay under Slew's watchful eye.
I will put a page on my site with the results from the entire meet for anyone who wishes to review it. This might be helpful if any of these horses run at tracks that Slew doesn't watch. There will be a link on the download page in the 'bulletin board' section by tomorrow.
