SLEW'S FAST HORSES FOR SAT. 02/09

Hello All! For Saturday Feb. 9, a rather large group of horses on Slew's list. The tracks and races associated with them are as follows:

Aqueduct - 1,3,8,9
Gulfstream - 1,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12
Santa Anita - 1,2,3,4,6,7,9
Tampa - 1,5,7,8,9,10
Oaklawn - 2,6

While Aqueduct has been cancelled, the horses have been left on the listing for your reference.

Also note that there is a Key Horse running tomorrow at the Fairgrounds:

CURRENT KEY HORSES (< 90 DAYS)

Starsilhouette - FG ( 3) GP 12/01/12 # 8

This is a well traveled mare by Orientate has not only posted 11 wins out of 33 starts since her maiden breaker at Saratoga on 9-6-2009 but had won 4 in a row at Gulfstream Park last year.
She finds herself back in Starter company in her first try at The Fairgrounds. She was the first horse in my GP first half review with the following notes:

Starsilhouette ran on December 1st for Michael Maker in a STARTER STAKES for 3 & upward Fillies and Mares on the turf listed that day as firm. The race was not filled with pace as the first 3 splits were run in +24 second times. But she came home in a rush with the last 16th clocked in 5.86 seconds. It must be said that the only other pilot moving with the same degree of purpose was Kendrick Carmouche on the runner up Malibu Yankee. If either one of these horses get some pace and a tiring field next time, they could run over their opponents so be prepared to avert your eyes. But Starsilhouette showed chops when she took off through a seam that opened up when the final turn straightened away and enjoyed a clear path to the winners circle. Watch for these two.

At 9-5 on the ML it is your call. If she drifts up, it will make things interesting.

It should also be noted that the first horse listed (of 3) for Gulfstream Park race # 8 is Animal Kingdom. I will be working tomorrow and will miss this one. What a shame, as he then goes abroad to finish a career that could end with the brilliance that was expected of him from the start. I saw his daddy run at Saratoga on Travers day in 2005 and his presence and brilliance that day was unforgettable. Animal Kingdom carries that gene.

I'll make a blind play with him over the two other Slew horses just to have a part of his last run here.
