g315, holybull,, vetdrm,, bill1947,, angrybarber,, midnight1,, greyhound ,,texasgambler ....louisiana downs 8th race saturday a trainer owner friend of mine has a horse in named run brick run he also has one in the frist that ran second opening weekend and has come back to run i think 4th since than named saint floryd at 6 to 1 saturday.. but back to run brick run i asked him could he get the mile and 70 yards the other day and he just told me he was just putting a race in him,,,just running him...he;s always very poker faced about his runners ...and the horse may have something wrong with him,,,i heard this from another trainer..OK anybody think he can wire  this field...just asking ....

UL-LAFAYETTEEKIDI like his chances bettrer  in the 1st race  the 1st timers have some nice works and looks like one to beat #5 but 6.5 is a tough distance .Your trainer has nice% turf to dirt but bad jock but that gets him a decent price .As for run brick run does seem like he has physical problems   Please dont let me talk you off him wait to see the odds and even if you bet $5 on him if he is at good odds  what do you have to loseGL What  your plays

Hey Kid, I went to Evangeline last night-sloppy track and lots of scratches. Hit a tri early and lost it all back. Saenz is hot-4 winners at least. I'm headed for Marksville today for some OTB and casino since the College World Series suddenly lost interest last weekend in Baton Rouge. I'll give your horse a look and if anybody else has anything, we're open for suggestions. Good luck to all in all endeavors.

ULKid, I don&#x27;t cap this track but like Mikeycee said poor jock and trainer records for both. I would pass with my money but a couple bucks for the halibut could land a nice price?

UL....if you are asking it it is legit for a trainer to run a horse just to get him out there, it is in some situations. For example, when a horse is off layoff, but the Racing Secretary doesn't write a race that either fits the horse's condition or his running style, some trainers will get a horse in a race as sort of a glorified workout in a full field.

Another example is when a horse is pointing to another race. That's why you will see horses in, say, a $80 K ALW before runnning in a $300,000 stakes. There are other reasons as well, but these are just a few.

8th he keeps dropping the horse, had won 28k claimer, prob dumping him, or hurt...watch the board, seems to get bet down when he has chance of winning

1st he is back on dirt and seems to like dirt better...i would use him in doubles, and reasonable bet atb gl

Well Kid, his recent efforts have been pretty dull. He's only been ITM twice in his last 15 & only twice was less than 5-1.

He doesn't appear to be in good form & he's been racing about every 2 weeks. So I don't really understand the trainer's comment re: getting a race under his belt when he's racing him so frequently.

Never want to talk anyone off a horse but I wouldn't exactly bang this one. A little tickle sounds like a better option.

2nd at 10 to1....... was 20 to 1 right before they put him in the gate plus on advice of  d   the vet the favorite did not run...led pass every pole till deep strech when he was caught  at the wire by a head ....payed 8 to place and 5 to show......

[/Quote] thanks a lot midnight1...just wish i could have put a little more cash on him..i talked    to the owner trainer a little while a go and i told him that i felt all week long that the extra distance may help him to relax and kick  own down the lane,, and he told me that he expected this also but just was not sure about it ...so that;s why he did not let own when i talked to him the other night...i guess he wanted to keep the odds up on him...i guess he has been 2 minute licking the horse and working him for this distance...want get this type of odds next time...i think he;s like richard dutrow playing games with us... like a lot of trainers are doing to get there horses odds up.......GL ON YOUR SELECTIONS......
